Last-Gen Console Discussions (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii)

Being as I still have a working NES and SNES, I'd agree on that.

I'm not spending $500 on a game system. No chance in hell. If FFXIII comes out, then I'll pick up a PS3 in a few years.

It comes down to this. $250 for a system that has games coming out right away that I want, or $500 for a system that won't have anything I want on it for a couple years.

Real no-brainer there.

Plus, given the production cycle for XII, what assurance do PS3-buyers have that it'll even be finished before Sony has advertised the PS4? 😛

I kid, Squeenix, I kid. You make wonderful games, even if they take longer to make than a DMV from hell.

Don't make the mistake of thinking FFXIII isn't going to be out for a long long time. Keep in mind it was being made for the PS2 for quite a long time, and was moved over to the PS3. The game is probably much further along then people think. Don't be surprised if you see it released next year in Japan and in America late next year or early 2008.

I mjust waiting for someone to make the nee "descent" video game for a system. I miss the days of flying around in my ship, balsting the hell out of any robot that tried to get in my way...

$75-84 USD for a GAME!!! It says Japan but these are dollars we're talking about.

It won't cost that much here in America. The markup for the games in Japan are more then they are here. In the article it says the average price of PS2 games over there is $58. I'm guessing PS3 games will cost about the same as 360 games do over here, maybe slightly more.
