non of them are putting multiplayer features on the wii version, which i very much hate 😠...

i guess Nintendo figures people will take that as a given

not me...i want multiplayer...all my games on the GC are basically single player (save SSBM)...i only see 4 online game for wii now, instead of about 7 or 8 😬..

So from what it seems, the red, yelow, and white audio/video cables are the only way to hook it up right? Which is fine by me. 😄

No, it can go composite cables too, and S-Video also.

But I wouldnt be surpraised that you need to buy the composite and s-video cables seperatly.

Is their an advantage by connecting with composite cables or S-Video?

What are they anyway?

is it comprehensible.....

S-Video is video only. So you would need to have to connect the sound separately.

Composite gives you better picture quality and progressive scan, I believe.

Composite IS the standard red/white/yellow setup. S-Video is the next step up, which carries the video as two signals, brightness and color, which is supposed to give a better picture because the cables don't reduce the quality of the original image as much.

Component cables are the red/blue/green ones, which because they mix the three primary colors of light, allow for "truer" color and better color contrast overall.

Opps, mis-labelled component....argh damn, I was suppose to say that the Wii can go component also..not composite also..argh.. not I feel stupid.

So which are better?

S-Video or Component?

Do you need a certain kind of television to hook it up or do you have to buy the S-Video or Component cables seperately?

Do any of the other systems use these?

is it comprehensible.....

Component. S Video is inferior. The next step up is HDMI.

Component cables offer the best picture you're going to get on a non-HD TV. And most likely the Wii will have component cables that you can buy seperately or online, as the GC did.

Both the 360 and the PS3 use HDMI, as I remember. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

The 360 does not have HDMI for some odd reason.

The component cables will only upgrade your picture on a non-HDTV to at most 480i which is DVD quality.

I'm pretty sure an 3rd party maker has HDMI cables for the XBOX 360.

I wish I knew about this back then when I first got my current generation system. No use now in getting them since I'll be getting the Next Gen. System. Well I could get it for my PS2, b/c I won't be getting the PS3 anytime soon.
