Something very odd going on in Japan maybe a sign of things to come.

First off I have two links explaining how in Japan, stores are turning people away and preventing them from lineing up for a PS3.

a game for sure, i dont know about a system. if i could get away with it yeah.

It would proably be easyer to steal it if you worked at a store that sells it. But why would you steal a wii they are cheap enough to buy.

my brother stole 5 PS2's from walmart when he worked there can't be that hard. Maybe if your a small store and your only getting a few it might be hard but that walmart got over a hundred so it was a little less easyer.

Walmart is another story altogether.

But the PS2 launch is nothing like the PS3 launch would be. Each store will only get a handful of systems (even Walmart) and they'll be under close watch. Not to mention security cameras and stuff like that.

I work at an EB Games, so yeah.

Its harder to steal from a store than a warehouse. In a store they usually lock them in a cabinet for storage unlike a warehouse its in an open space on shelves.

Holy crap sony is acctually telling the truth for once.

I don't think its short supply will hurt sony. The xbox360's bad launch didn't hurt them in the end becuase they eventually met the demand. and sony will meet the demand as well it will just take them a while to do it.
