Question: Am I the only one who thinks Tekken 6 is just gonna be another Tekken 4?

Look, the graphics in Tekken 6 (so far) aren't that great to be on the PS3 (compared to other titles Namco are working on) and it looks very similar to the ones in Tekken 5. Tekken 4 was merely a crappy graphics upgrade of Tekken 3 and the gameplay felt unstable and somewhat slow.

Come up with any other names for today that you can think up!

If that represents a playable screen - then I must say I am impressed. Hard to tell sometimes though, since most companies include the CGI(Computer Generated Imaging) movies in their presentations.

you're so awesome whob, what with your superior knowledge of all them technological thingamabobbers

found this while browsing irc images.
not that xbox 360 publishers, particularly ubisoft hasnt pulled this shit before

It is hard to judge Graphics based on a screen shot. In order to get a clear picture of its capabilities you need to see it in person. Screen shots are a poor way to judge graphics.

The linked PS2 game below looks as good as some of the Wii screenshots. But the Wii is much more powerful than the PS2. Also sometimes it can be hard to tell if it’s actual gameplay or just a CGI shot.

Large screen shot look if interested.

Okay, if you want to post huge images like that, simply link to them. If it stretches my page, it's too big (and I use a large screen res).

Chill I was in the process of changing it.

I can honestly see very little difference between the real MGS4 shot above and anything on the 360 now, or even Wii screens.

On another tangent, Dirk, what is that game?

valkyrie profile 2 so far the best looking PS2 game I have seen. It has its flaws in storyline and gameplay but it looks nice.

So that's VP2. alright then, many thanks. Looks intriguing, too bad my money is already needed elsewhere.

Ahem, anyway, back on topic...

PVS, technically, they weren't pulling anything as long as they didn't say that the prerendered stuff was actual gameplay.

That is true but it is nothing new. That has been going on for a very long time. For instance every single RPG for the past 5 years or so hasn't shown the game play only the CGI clips in the games. When FF7 first came out a few of my friends bought it not even knowing it was an RPG. They saw the cool CGI that the commercials showed and blindly bought it and were pist when they found out it was an RPG. So it is always important to know what you’re getting before you get it. You did research in the game and saw that sony had two different graphical screenshots for the game and that is definitely enough to call out shenanigans.

Sony isn’t the only ones doing it but they do draw the largest crowd when the do it, and we all know that sony doesn’t have an honest bone in the company. They steal almost everything they make. If you want honesty don’t go with Sony.

i think it should be made illegal to advertise with prerendered graphics without a HUGE disclaimer as opposed to the conveniently low-contrast teeny tiny disclaimer that you need a 60" screen to be able to read, and must not blink or you'll miss

I don't like wireless controllers; I would rather have a cord than have to replace the batteries.

Also Ebay looks flooded with PS3's. They are still selling well but there are over 1000 ps3's for sale. This means that the ebay price will proably drop and all the people trying to make double profits might have to settle with only a few hundred extra bucks.

man **** sony

Well, I don't know about the 360 controllers, but I thought that there were (or there used to be) plans to make the wii-motes rechargeable, like the DS.

Sony's version of replacement, though, is pretty stupid.

And I thought the PS3 saga couldnt get any funnier. 😂 🙄

Oh, but it's even funnier than that, Ast: People still want to buy the darn thing. 😉

I honestly wouldnt be suprised to hear after the launch that games can only be played one time, so you have to buy it ever time you want to play. 🙄

Well most of the launch titles will be bad enough that you will only want to play them once.
