Can I ask what all the hype about the Wii is? I just can't see it.

Take your game cube shrink it turn it white like an Ipod and give a new controller and bam you have a ton of hype. All the hype is just over the controller and that about it. Other than the controller the system is far inferior to both Xbox and ps3.

But as everyone knows the games are what is important and the Wii has a few fun games and looks like it will have a ton of fun games before it dies. I'm going to get the wii as soon as mario party comes out for it.

He's making fun of how stupid the whole 'lawsuit' thing is.

For that matter, the N64 controller had a bottom trigger button, so for that fact alone it won't be going anywhere.

More like take two gamecubes, but... ehh. Don't feel like pointlessly arguing with you now.

While unhooking my Gamecube this weekend for good I felt this sort of sadness that I wasn't expecting. It was very ritual like.

Then I unhooked and my Playstation 2 and re positioned it and hooked it back up and then I got everything ready for my Nintendo Wii and hooked that up and got everything situated.

............and forgot all about my Nintendo Gamecube.........nah, no I didn't.

It's still sitting in the floor staring at me. It's quite sad. I still don't know where to put it though. I put its wires and cables in my Nintendo Wii box. Was that too much? To store it's parts in it's predecessors box, the one who put it out of commission and condemned it to a dark, dusty new home eventually. (I hope not though.) I could give it to my sister, but I'm never giving my systems away again after having gave my Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gameboy Pocket, and my other Nintendo 64 away and regretting it. SO yeah........I would have put the Gamecube itself in the Nintendo Wii box if it would have fit. Yeah I know. I'm heartless.

Well...........R.I.P. (Remember I Played) Gamecube.

Anata Wa Wakarimasu Ka.....

I didn't have any similar experience. My gamecube's been dead since early last year. I had to use my brothers' gamecube in the gameroom to play any of my GC games.

My only gamecube-related thought upon setting up my Wii was "Yes, I can play Resident Evil and Eternal Darkness and Tales of Symphonia again!"

shock

Show you no mercy?

No respect in its end?

No remorse?

Surely it did not deserve this?

Say a prayer and put your lighter up and reminisce.

May God have mercy on your soul.

Why did it die anyway by the way? 🤨

So you're a player huh? 😏

Once you're done with one, you just push it aside and move on to the next.

😐

anata wa wakarimasu ka......

The Wii isn't the GC's successor so much as her hotter sister than can do everything she could do, plus more. And yes, yes I am comparing video game consoles to women.

It died because it was old. Laser failure or something. Took 6 months before the thing finally said "I'm ****ing blind, just give it up already!"

Yep, I'm a player. I, shall we say, get around. 😛

When I first got my Wii home I went into a shock..........why you may ask...........because I didn't have a freaking MEMORY CARD/STICK/WHATEVER!!!!

I had even seen one in the store and it had never dawned on me that I needed to get one!!!!!

Then I thought to myself, maybe......just maybe this system has internal memory...............................I was like I can't have went through all of this just to not be able to play any games..........

Then I pop a game in and the first thing it says is that I don't have a saved file.............OH NO I THINK.............then it asks if I would like one............WELL OF COURSE......BUT I HAVE NO MEMORY CARD/STICK/WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!................I say YES anyway just to see what happens...................it tells me IT'S SAVING ON THE INTERNAL MEMORY.............................I say HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........so that was a nice surprise relief............I played my games and lived happily ever after........

So while I was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!scream.......The whole time my little Wii had my back and knew what it was doing. That's my Wii for you. Just sitting back cool...a natural smooth operator. 😎

Anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

Makes sense....

how else would you dl games if your just using an memory stick.

I think memory sticks should be a thing of the past for any console nowadays. HD's are soo cheap.

So its all just over the control..... how boring. Was never really interested in Zelda and sports games just aren't my thing. I read the reviews about Red Steel and that game just whores the control, excuse the language. When I buy a console I want it to be able to last a very long time. When I look at the Wii I see this feature they have put on but think about how limited it will be.

For example take the Xbox 360. Your games will be in high definition, and please someone don't say "oh but graphics don't matter" but think sensibly, graphics add more atmosphere to the game. Take Resident Evil Remake on the Gamecube, though all pre-render it still put a chill down your spine.

Then also you have the processing power of the 360, I could imagine 2 years down the line games will have 64 players online and still run at an incredible pace. Thats one thing the Wii can't do, so thus when making a game for the Wii, they are restricted in what they can do. Sure you can see that already on the Wii, for example look at Call of Duty 3, sure they just removed the whole multiplayer online and sure that just kills the games lifespan altogether, though I am an online player myself but people who just play the single player do you not feel a bit cheated?

I would continue on with other things, but I'll just do with that. This is just my opinion of the console, and as always opinions can change so don't hold it against me. Though I do like the look of Super Smash Brawl but thats the game and not the console.

You shouldn't compare the 360 and the Wii, it's illogical, both are trying to do completely different things and their goals are on the opposite sides of the gaming spectrum.

I cant tell if you are bitching more about graphics or online play.

Graphics have been discussed to death, but you mention RE remake, which was beatiful and still is, and Wii can do that and so much more as time goes on. Its not HD and everything doesnt look metallic(something i hate about most next gen games), but its not like this is a PS1.

And Wii will have online play, they are just waiting while they work out the kinks. Smash Bros and possibly Metroid will be online, which will open the floodgates for other games.

BackFire's got it right, although there really isn't that much the Wii has... yet. It was the same way with the 360 when it launched, and it's the same way with the PS3 now. You have to give them time to get games out for it before judging the console itself.

Indeed, though I'm just afraid of the Wii's pulling and pushing power in terms of performance. I'll give it a while and see what they can do with it.

For example, 5 years ago when I read PC magazines I saw all these awesome games and thought if only they could be on the Xbox or PS2 but it was never going to happen as PC games are just way too powerful.

Well, it's Nintendo, most of the quality games will be first or second party games. They're not known for their high quality 3rd party support.

Well if you word it that way you also shouldn't compare the PS3 with the xbox360 because they are trying to do completely different things as well.

The xbox focusing on FPS and online play while the PS3 is focusing on Making an all purpose media center with an array of games from FPS to RPG.

also the Wii is 250 and xbox is 300. and the Xbox will be dropping in price in about a year or so making the bottom line xbox cheaper than the wii.

They maybe aiming differently but they are both aiming at the same market.

No, that's very very incorrect on all accounts.

The PS3 and 360 ARE focused on much of the same, they're going head to head over the same demographics. Just because they aren't totally identical in every possible way doesn't mean they're totally different, just silly nonsense, right there.

And how do you know Xbox will be dropping in price? Just pulled that out of your ass, did you? Even if it does, that's the low end xbox that is missing tons of things that you need, where as the Wii, for 250 dollars comes with everything you need, including a game. The Wii will still be a better deal, seeing as you will be able to just get it, and play it immediately right out of the box without having to worry about buying a harddrive or online service or even a game.

The Wii isn't aiming at the same market, they're going after a completely NEW market, that's their entire effort, they're trying to get people who aren't gamers into gaming, where as the PS3 and the 360 are both going after people who are already into games, in fact, they're both going after a very specific crowd, the 17-35 aged male demographic. The Wii is going after parents, younger kids, females even grandparents.

So no, it's much more reasonable to compare the PS3 and the 360 then it is the Wii to the 360 and the PS3, seeing as the Wii has almost nothing in common with either of those systems besides its ability to play games.

On other forums people keep saying Nintendo winning because their mom and family steals the game to play and are winning 😆 The whole Pick up and play for everyone crap....come on now. If some ones mom and 5 year old sisters that never played games before could beat things and get high scores then where is the challenge in the games? I don't like games to easy, overly hard by impossible.

SUREEE, nintendo will have games for the hardcore people every so often like Zelda but the majority of games will be to easy 😱
lol and even though Nintendo is my fav, I feel sorry for sony for people bashing the poor thing and said it failed before it even came out. 😖hifty:

MINIIIIGAMESSSSSSS or Ds to Wii stuff, Fun as hell mini games but gets old fast 🙁

OK people start bashing me 😈

I got your cheap satire dont be fooled. I knew you made it up however im saying there is a company that is suing Nintendo in "real" life.
