Owned, lol

Don't believe rumours until they have been confirmed, there were rumours about lots of things recently, only 5% of them were actually reliable.

And I heard about Warhawk, either way its still releasing, if the project was cancelled, it will still appear in the PS Store like GTHD, if this is so, it will still benefit the company to a certain degree, buying it on the store with evidently profit the devs, at the same time, its not as if the game can't be updated and upgraded with extra features later on down the rank. As much as it is a shame this game "may" not be coming out in retails, it will still be released, just not in stores 🙂 Either way, I hope to play it at some point. It looks awesome, I haven't played a flight combat game since Microsoft flight simulator combat 2004. So this should be fun.

I'm owned by no one. mhm

😮 Bill said (around the hedge) that Wii won't win cos the graphics suck. Shock horror! Since when did graphics mean much? 😖

: The only worry is that Nintendo may have done a good enough box at a low price with the different controller. Maybe they might lead?
A: Sony has always been our most direct competitor. Nintendo of course is a competitor. But look at the resolution you get with a controlled experience like that. Say to yourself, how in terms of using a game for a long period of time, what kind of accuracy and capability do you want? Look at the classic Nintendo positioning. Look at the graphics. Look at Nintendo’s execution in terms of online capability. We have this thing that nobody has ever seen before. When you say to your friend, hey let’s play online, you say then you have to buy an Xbox. That’s what 10 million people say. If you want to play online, get an Xbox. We’re not standing still. Look at what you saw today connecting up the world to the Windows PC. Do you expect Nintendo to rev up a team to create cross-device gaming and tool kits to develop those things? Not very likely. We clearly think that Nintendo did some things right. This group Rare that we bought a few years ago really the gestalt of doing titles of a certain type that we didn’t have on our box. Viva Pinata has been a huge success. In my household, everybody plays Viva Pinata.

Ouch!

I have a question, is Bill on Xbox Live, I'd love to play against him one day.

I don't really get what he's trying to say there. The best I can make of it is that if you want the best online multiplayer experience, you need a 360, which is of course true. Xbox Live is simply THE way to play games online.

Well technically the PC is the way to play games online, xbox is a good secant.

Well, I like the experience I get from online on PC's. It's alot easier to connect to games, very slight chance of being kicked out and less assholes.

The only difference is that Live provides a more complete experience with friends, and voice chat, but I think PC's will always be better because of the reasons I stated above and more importantly the infinite mods available for popular games that could change the experince so greatly by just a small dl.

And personally, I don't give a damn about playing online at all!

And there's a lot of people who don't like online gaming, as well.

Have you ever played online besides the DS?

Yes.

Doesn't interest me in the least.

I'm not a fan of multiplayer games, largely, is the thing. Most of the games I like best can't be done in multiplayer.

Wow. So I'm guessing you don't even like the Super Smash Brother's games and other fighters.

Well, regardless of how you personally feel about online gaming, there's no denying that it's quickly becoming one of the most important aspects of console gaming, and it's also the one area that Nintendo is failing miserably at. They're bombing hard with their annoying friend code system that just complicates matters when they should be focused on simplifying their online solution, much like Live and the PSNetwork is.

If Nintendo doesn't win, it surely won't be because of the Wii's sub par graphics, people have shown that they don't care about that. It will be because of their utter inability to create a reasonable and accessible online gaming network that isn't a complete pain in the ass.

Sadly, Nintendo is often behind on the curve in some areas, and these areas are usually very important. It could be argued that the N64 didn't beat the PSX because of Nintendos failure to see the encroaching need to start using CD's, their refusal to leave the ancient realm of cartridges caused some huge would be exclusives to depart (FFVII) and also increased the cost of producing games for the system.

The Wii online functionality (or lack thereof) could be that systems major downfall in the long run, and should be of much larger concern then the graphics.

i dont like online games either....they dont "tickle my fancy" their okay but not what its made out to be. and in general i do enjoy some multiplayer games (i did like chrystal chronicles and little things like that). But like lana i'm fine, probably better off playing one player games.

aye..i just hope that before the online games come out for wii, they try to fix it up a bit..

I like them for a little while, but they very quickly bore the hell out of me.

Personally, as annoying as friend codes are, I actually kind of like it. If I am going to be playing a game with someone, I want it to be someone that I know, not a bunch of complete strangers. You can say there's the social aspect to it, but I don't think that should really be a big deal. Though that's probably part of why I can't stand MMOs - they have no plot and the only real thing that makes the games addictive is the social part, but that's something I have zero interest in.

There is also the point that I'll be willing to bet that most people who are only casually interested in games, which is who Nintendo is trying (and succeeding) in capturing, don't see online gaming as that big of a deal.

Your so right and considering that Nintendo is such a top notch developer, I cant imagine how good some MP games would be if they actually started going online. It's not 1996 anymore.

What about the people that don't have someone they know to exchange friend codes with.

Not everybody knows someobody else with a Nintendo DS.

I actually know no one else personally with a Nintendo DS.

I've never met any.

I may have walked by and seen a stranger with one, but that's all...

I really like the aspect of playing Metroid Prime or Star Fox online against friends across the country. But that's just it. I don't want to just play a bunch of people, I want to play people I already know. In that way, I don't really mind the friend code thing. Sure it's a ***** to set up, but the actual system isn't that bad.

Mario Kart 😛

I really need to find my MK cartridge... *looks around at messy room*
