Last-Gen Console Discussions (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii)

When the 360 came out, afterwords, you could put your name in a list to get it.

I know Rogers Video is doing that right now.

It's similiar pre-odering but its already out.

The guys are our retails seem pretty confindent we'll get another large stock of Wii's in London within the next few months 🙂

That's the general consensus over here in the states too.

Maybe at your store you cannnot Lana, but when I was working at Best Buy you could do that and you can still do it. The didnt accept rainchecks on launch because people pre-ordered or lined up also it was close to the holidays and the never do rainchecks on holidays. It was only after they started to accept them.

That also pisses me off....I go into the store and they got these Wii boxes...so I'm like, wow, they have Wii's.

Then they go, nah we dont have them, but we decided to put up the boxes to promote them for the store.

It isn't the box's lol they are real Wiis....Oh and Nintendo uping the supply, Stores will get alot more soon so you will seem them on shelves. 2 of my local stores are getting alot this week.

99% of the time the people in the store have no choice; I know at EB we're told by corporate what to put on display and where.

I know, and I'm not blaming the stores at all, but it's annoying when the display's are up and they havn't gotten a shipment of Wii's for atleast a week in a half.

The funny thing is that about half the stores dont have the display boxes, while the other half do.

Well I know you said you don't want to stand in any lines and that's the soul reason why you don't have a Wii ahora mismo.

I myself had never stood in a line for a console before, probably b/c this was the first generation of consoles where I was of an age to be able to do that.

But yeah. The majority of people who have a Wii ahora mismo, have one b/c they stood in a line at some point in time and called the retailers non stop and bugged and bugged and bugged them.

I think Lana knows a little something about that. tongue

Hey, I'm not the one who puts the phone off the hook, that's my manager that does it 😛

Though getting a call every time you put the phone down and it's always the same question? Yeah, gets annoying. I prefer the people who come in and ask, they're usually far less rude if you tell them no.

This lady's daughter had a ds and it broke. She has been calling every god damn day to see if we have some more.

After every call to a store I always say Thank you before I hang up, whether I'm happy with the response or not.

well on pre-order day over here i was still in school and when i found out i called every few seconds

"Thank you for calling Game Sto-"
Do yall have anymore Wii's"
"Yes Ma'am"
"Can you hold one for me"
"No Ma'am"
"Bastard" Click Or "*******" click or "PLEASE, dont be such a tight ass just hold one for me"

It went on until i got there; rude i kno... but hey he finally just gave up and held one for me and i was able to pre-order my wii. 🙂

..Y'know, at this point I just can't care anymore. I know they're floundering and trying to convince people that no, it's all good. I know that the PS3 is, so far, a relative flop. They lied again? So what, par for the course.
