Maybe it was still an overpriced, $50 Ant Bully. 😐

Cool, but not practical.

How can you play most Wii games on a 7" screen? You have to be uber close just to do so.

And why make it portable but not install a battery?

what is he talking about, i dont really want to watch the video.

Lol, do you relise what a tard you'd look if you had that on the train going to work like a normal laptop, lol.

Saying that, I have to agree with puzzle, its not practical 🙁 At least if you could carry it around and use it anywhere portable, that would be awesome, but you'll have to take the power plug and Wiimote with you to plug it into places 😛

If this was like a laptop, this would own though, the Wii fanboy would be laughing at the 360 and PS3 fanboy as he plays a game or Smash Bros Brawl on his Wii during flight, and the other two have only the sad romantic on flight movie for entertainment 😛

Nintendo owns in the console/handheld markets! Take that Sony!! Take that Microsoft!!!

Virtually Every New Wii and Nintendo DS System Sold Out Across America

REDMOND, Wash., Jan. 11, 2007 – There has never been anything like it. Independent U.S. sales figures released by the NPD Group today confirmed a red-hot launch for the new Wii™ system by Nintendo, and the crowning of the portable Nintendo DS™ as the best-selling video game device of any type for both the holidays and all of 2006.

Along with stunning success for The Legend of Zelda®: Twilight Princess and historic sales of accessories, including more than 1.5 million extra controllers for Wii alone, Nintendo recorded the most successful across-the-board holiday performance in U.S. video game history.

Among key results:

Consumers purchased every Wii console available at retail—more than a million in just the 44 days between U.S. launch and year end.

With sales of another 1.6 million systems in December alone, Nintendo DS achieved full year sell-through of 5.3 million.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was purchased by an extraordinary 86 percent of Wii buyers, or more than 900,000 games for that system alone. Coupled with the companion version released in December for Nintendo GameCube™, the two versions of the newest Zelda title totaled approximately 1.5 million unit sales in less than seven weeks, which would represent one of the five best-selling games for the entire year.

Wii owners also purchased an average of three additional games from a wide library of choices, in addition to the Wii Sports title packed in with every hardware system.

Two Nintendo DS titles, New Super Mario Bros.® and Brain Age™: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day, also were top-10 sellers for the year.

Throughout the November/December holiday shopping period, Nintendo accounted for more than half of all video game hardware systems sold in America.
Earlier this week, Nintendo increased its projected worldwide financial performance for the year ending on March 31 to be the best in company history.

“Millions of players, both hard-core and brand-new, are already enjoying the unique entertainment provided by Wii, but demand for the system remains incredibly high," says Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. “So our work is just beginning. We're dedicating ourselves to maximizing both manufacturing and distribution full bore throughout 2007, to make sure everyone who wants to experience the future of video gaming can do so just as soon as possible."

The momentum behind Wii will continue unabated through the early weeks of 2007, with retail debuts of WarioWare™: Smooth Moves, Wii Play™ and Mario Party® 8 from Nintendo; a host of third-party releases; and a steady stream of classic games made available via download with the Wii Shop Channel.

The worldwide innovator in the creation of interactive entertainment, Nintendo Co., Ltd., of Kyoto, Japan, manufactures and markets hardware and software for its Wii™, Nintendo DS™, Game Boy® Advance and Nintendo GameCube™ systems. Since 1983, Nintendo has sold nearly 2.2 billion video games and more than 387 million hardware units globally, and has created industry icons like Mario™, Donkey Kong®, Metroid®, Zelda™ and Pokémon®. A wholly owned subsidiary, Nintendo of America Inc., based in Redmond, Wash., serves as headquarters for Nintendo's operations in the Western Hemisphere. Thanks for that, I didn't know anything about Nintendo until you enlightened me with your wisdom 🙂

What that guy should do with that Wii laptop is attempt to add a recharge battery like a laptop, so that it doesnt need to have a power cable all the time to run, that would be awesome 🙂

What exacty is the difference between 1st party, 2nd party, 3rd party devolpers?

1st part games are made by the company themselves, Nintendo can develop and put out their own games, like every game about a mascot, Metroid, Mario, Donkey Kong, Link.

3rd party is an outside company working with Nintendo usually.

And Rare would be the example of 2nd party games. Developers who are not part of the console company but are owned by the company for exclusive rights to thier games.

Hey Lana, heres something to remind you of what to expect at your store 😄 ... Its a story of a woman wanting a Mario 360 game

Would you believe me if I said 'been there, done that'?

Because I have. Though generally they give up before throwing things around 😛

I think the best so far was when someone tried to ***** me out (trying to blame me for her stupidity) and then left, and my manager was like "feel free to go take lunch now" so I wouldn't have to (and couldn't) deal with her when she came back 😂

Yeah you have a very valid point except for the fact that the PS2 has sold 112million+ consoles all over the world and is still increasing. The Wii will never reach that number maybe half that at most.

And the wii has sold around 2 million and the xbox360 has sold around 10 million.

And the Wii will fall behind in the future due to lack of graphical power, online play, 512mb harddrive, and no HD media player HD-dvd or blu-ray.

But for now they do own the hand held market without question.

Your speculating greatly.

Sure, Wii's maybe not sell as much as PS2, but whatever happened in last generations sales really doesnt affect this generations sales. Just like when the N64 came out everybody thought Nintendo had in the bag because of thier monopoly on the console market, but well you know what happens after that.

Those shortcomings of the Wii are big, but considering the price tag, I dont think mind that much. Sure, HD media player, but well, I can plug the Wii into my standard def TV and have a blast playing it for only 1/4 of the price of the PS3. I think people are looking forward to that...just look at how hard it is to get an Wii...do you really think all these people wanting one are dead hard Nintendo fans?

They're not because when the GC came out, well, I could pick one up a month later at the store without any problem. Not anymore.

I do believe the Wii has sold closer to 4 million actually.

Aww yes I also remember a time when someone came up to me and tried to see if I knew what I was doing. 😂

What does last Gen have to do with the current Gen specially when Wii has 3 months of being on the market and PS2 having about 6 years.

Last I heard was 3 million, and that was a couple weeks ago. 4 million's not an unreasonable estimate, I'd say.

The guy is claiming the Nintendo owns the market and I'm showing that he wrong. It doesn't matter that PS2 is last gen because it's games are doing better than Next gen.

list of top selling games of December 2006
Gears of War - Xbox 360 (Microsoft)
Guitar Hero 2 Bundle- PS2 (Activision)
Madden NFL 07 - PS2 (Electronic Arts)
Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess - GCN (Nintendo)
Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Wii (Nintendo)
WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 - PS2 (THQ)
New Super Mario Bros. - NDS (Nintendo)
Call of Duty 3 - Xbox 360 (Activision)
Yoshi's Island 2 - NDS (Nintendo)
Call of Duty 3 - PS2 (Activision)

In most cases you get what you pay for, and that statement holds true for the wii. You pay less you get less, I'm willing to pay more and get more with both xbox360 and ps3.
