my bro works in the local game shop, and he brought home a wii last week for a few days...
i can honestly say i havent had that much fun on a console in a very, very long time...
and thats just wii sports...
ill take fun over graphics any day...
and while i have played games on a hdtv, and yes, it is very impressive, they're still far too expensive for me atm... and all i would use it for is games, as im not touching hd or blu ray dvd's till one wins out...

re: the Wii and storage space.
It's not that it fills up with VC stuff and saved games- apparently the Wii version of Guitar Hero III will not have the downloadable content simply because there would not be room for it.
So at the point where games are being curtailed due to the issue... it;s a probnlem. And it's early in its life for it to be being flagged as a problem already.

Far more than it's worth.

*headdesks repeatedly* There's not a single eC game on the Wii. The lean is toward E10 and T, and there are even a few M games out, with more incoming (Manhunt 2 and No More Heroes spring to mind) It's called playing the whole field instead of the 18-30 niche, and it's making them a hell of a lot of money.
And you calling Twilight Princess "kiddie" and boring immediately voids any opinion you could have. Don't be an idiot.

Last I heard they had a way to get around that, but it would take more time and the Wii version's DL content would be delayed. Of course, could be that answer is an interface with the SD card or a USB-connected HD, but I dunno.
It will be awkward. Not impossible, I am sure, but difficult because it is not in the Wii's basic design. It's not that the Wii has a very small harddrive- it has no harddrive at all, just a bunch of flash memory. It's not designed to read data for instant play from a standard storage medium (which is why you can store VC games on an SD card, but you cannot play them from it, and have to transfer them first).

I also heard (actually read) about a (possibly USB) HD attachment for Wii.... but can't back it up... probably a wild rumor
... but if possible, it could be beneficial for Nintendo... I think

I never said I don't like the PS3 or 360. I'm planning on buying a 360 soon. What I said I don't like is most of the games available on them because they're all just the same old thing redone a dozen times. I'm not a fan of shooters or sports, thus most of what's on the 360 does not appeal to me.
There are more to games than shooters and kiddie games, btw.
And I think I have every right to make smart-ass remarks if someone sufficiently annoys me.
