$500 is still far more than I'd be willing to spend on something I'd only use for video games, personally...

Some people just don't watch TV. I use my TV for games, and that's it. I don't really watch TV shows, and DVDs go on my comp. While an HDTV would be nice, "nice" ain't worth $500+.
If you can pour the cash, and want to, be my guest. Just saying that for some people, it's not that important.

I don't watch TV and I prefer using my computer to watch movies.
So yeah, all it'd be used for is playing video games. And even with that, I've come to prefer my DS over consoles. And I wouldn't pay $500 for a TV. I wouldn't pay $300 for a TV. Hell, I won't even pay $300 for a game console.

Err, what? I read up on lots of reviews so I can tell what I think is going to be good and what isn't. I don't have a lot of money to spend on games and I don't want to waste it on trash. Same with everyone else. And just because I don't own a system doesn't mean I haven't played any games on it, anyway. Stupid assumption on your part, there.
People very rarely ask about PS3 games, anyway.
I've been holding out on a 360 for two reasons - price and games. There's been no games on it until recently that I had any interest in and $400 is more than I'm willing to pay. But now? I could get a used 360 and harddrive for about $220. Much more in my price range. And it might actually get used instead of collecting dust.

First of all, the Wii doesn't have a ton of kiddie games on it. Appealing to everyone != kiddie.
Second...girly? You can **** right off now, I think 😊
Sorry if I prefer games to be more than "ooh, alien. Shoot it. You shot it! Have a cookie". I think it's completely pathetic when people think 20 hours is long for a game. And I think it's ridiculous how stagnant games are right now, with the market being flooded with sub-par shooter after sub-par shooter and the same old sports games made a tiny bit shinier. Right now there's three games for the 360 that I want to play with another coming out very soon. That's not enough for me to justify that purchase yet.
