I think a massively improved software platform and user interface are worth a couple days of odd connection.

IMO it isn't really needed, but meh.

Do you know how they are going about preventing pirating games with the Install Game feature? I havent seen anything that could prevent me from hiring a few games and installing them instead of buying them srug

As far as I know, you can only install games directly from the 360 disc. So it doesn't open any new venues in pirating.

Well you still have to have the disc in the drive to start the game.

Yeah, it's only to speed up loading times, which hasn't really been a problem on the 360, but sure, it's nice.

And some games make the disc spin so fast that it makes a lot fo noice, this will also not happen if the game is installed.

Has anybody had their 360 get the red ring of death only to work thirty minutes later and then to get it again two days later?

That is actually quite common.

And to be honest, I've never noticed my 360 being particularly loud, so being able to install games is something I'll never bother with.

I've noticed that my 360 is load.

Ah well. If your a PC gamer, its just the norm.

My 360 sounds like it has 2 ****ing jet engines.

That's what I used to do with my 360 and Wii.
My 360 eventually crashed w/ a RRoD. MS told me I had to pay for repair.
Why should I pay for faulty hardware?
So now my 360 is in a cardboard box somewhere inside the stock room.

Well if you played ripped game son the 360, then you had to have it modified, so if Microsoft said you had to pay for repairs, then I guess you might have sent it in and they had noticed the tampering?

If it helps, they told you you had to pay because you voided your warranty. If you don't follow their rules they're not obligated to cover the charges.

Okay.
But I just want to tell you that the majority of people who bought a 360 or a Wii do the same thing. 😛

No, that's just not true.

I know a lot of people do, but are they something you could call a majority? No.

And seriously, are you really surprised that Microsoft wouldn't cover the charges?

Does anyone know if theres a site or anything where you can buy empty console cases? Wouldnt mind modding a couple, but I dont want to rip my 360 apart and void the warranty...yet.

Two more days until the NXE, im actually pretty excited. Im ready to burn Fallout 3 onto my hard drive. 😛

And you still havent excepted my friend request Mist. 😒

I keep forgetting cryoh

I havent used it in about a week, plus I need an extra ethernet cable so it wont be til Wednesday, then I have to get Xbox Gold, plus download the NXE mhm

You are excused. 😛

I was watching Gametrailer's 'Bonus Round', they were talking online and NXE, they all seemed very impressed. They also talked PSN and Home, and they were pretty negative on Home, which bummed me out because I'm actually looking forward to that.
