I still play Super Smash Bros Melee but man once Brawl comes out----

Yes, I'm aware. I know someone who prides himself on being a corporate *****. The fact is, it's stupid and people who do it, to me, have a negligible opinion.

So what? We're not discussing that. How can an Xbox do PC ports better when it's nowhere close to being anywhere near a PC...which is what the games originate on?

They have firms they pay to do it. It's not in-house like Nintendo's Silicon Nights or Nintendo Games.

Yes, as I said, it's based around the same concept but it's never the same game. There's always more than enough difference to justify them making it. It's not "Look! Dante can RUN up walls now!"

As for Mario Kart, it's a racing game, there's not much more you can do, but the ones that have existed have been different enough to be fun. Super Mario Kart was excellent, Mario Kart 64 had a legendary battle multiplayer mode with different features, then there's Double Dash which again added a great new feature and way of playing.

I did call him stupid enough to make that decision. I never said he was stupid in general. There are different kinds of stupid. Someone can be smart but have a particularly stupid opinion.

Second, I answered it. We've seen how different it is aesthetically, I never claimed the GAME would be different. I said it wouldn't be in existence how it is, without the Cube. It was allowed to have all that power, that graphical capability, that beauty, BECAUSE of the Cube.

When Sony decided they wanted it, they had to dull it down dramatically, it couldn't cope. Xbox and PS2 may be more powerful than the Cube overall, but graphically neither of them are up to scratch. Which essentially doesn't matter, graphics, of course. My point was, Cube allowed it to be as good as it was. Sony didn't take it and make it better, they demeaned it.

1. That's the difference between an educated consumer and an non educated consumer.

2. I consider it the same thing. They work for the companies that pay them.

3. In platforms, I agree with you. In the party games, I dont. Super Mario Kart is too me the only Mario Kart and I find the battle mode alot better on the SNES then any other Mario Kart offers. Double Dash was a joke, "Woah, tbey're two guys on a kart, and you can save powerups" It didnt really change the game. N64 version made it 3D and added the dreaded spiky shell.

5.Welll, you should of been more clear what type of stupid Bill Gates in your original post.

6. Capcom allowed it to be what it is, not the Cube. They just released it on the Cube because they had a partnership with Nintendo. If it was released on the XBOX originallyit would be the same game.
PS2 is the least powerful of the consoles, thats why it didnt look as good. Not because Sony said, " we want a shitter looking game that Nintendo".

*agrees*

Red Steel on Wii looks awesome, I'd buy the console for that game. Most other games I've seen trailers for look like you have to be on crack to play😑 The Japanese people are jumping all over the place swinging their arms, no way Im playing a Wii if I have to do that.

Right...not sure where you where going with this.

Hiring companies to work for you and creating your own from the ground up is very different.

Of course Double Dash changed the game. Not in a massively innovative way, but it changed the way you had to play it, the way you could play it. Different specials for different people, certain people getting specials faster than others. The cars having different handling.

Or just not misinterpret me. Also an option.

Exactly, Sony couldn't have pushed the boundaries any further, they weren't good enough. Why do you think Capcom signed the deal in the first place? Because they knew the Cube- while not the most powerful- had the most suitable graphics engine to handle such a game.

One thing I'm disappointed about: When you use a sword, it doesn't mimic your exact moves. Instead, you perform different moves in the game based on pre-existing scripts for your movement with the remote. 😬

(Does that make sense at all?)

1. An consumer doing research before they buy it, so they dont buy a shitty game. On the other hand, a consumer buying a shitty game by looking at the package, and then deciding to buy it.

2. I disagree.

3. Different specials for different characters? That's been around since the original Mario Kart. Karts have different handling? That's been around since the original also, except that its was the riders instead. And that feature has been around for years in racing games.

4. Still should of been clearer.

5. How could Sony pushed the boundaries with RE4? The system couldnt handle more. PS2 is the weakest out of the bunch.
I still say it would of been the same game if it was released first on the XBOX. PS2 is the same game, but some graphics had to be toned down. If people say grapics dont matter, who cares if Leon's hair doesnt move around.

Yes, and what exactly is your point? Do you have one?

With what? There's nothing to disagree with. A company hiring another company as opposed to creating one out of its own employees are two totally different things. There's no "I disagree" about it.

The handling hasn't been around since the original, certainly not to the pivotal degree that it's in Double Dash. There are different karts, for one. It's not all the same karts, so they have different handling, and how you choose your team depends on how effective everything is. Speed and such. How easily you're knocked off the track.

Secondly, it's been around for years in racing games, so what? Do you actually have the ability to stay on point? I said that it's hard to progress further in what is essentially a racing game, but the three main versions of Mario Kart that have been out have all been different enough.

No, it was clear enough because I spelled it out and you tried to claim there's one kind of "stupid". You just lack the interpretation skills. That's how it is.

Yes, that's what I just said isn't it? Jesus, it's like debating an echo.

The graphics help the feel of the game, in RE's case. They're not the be all and end all. If they were on the PS2, a system we've established isn't as good graphically, it wouldn't have been as good. If the Cube had done RE before the original Playstation, it would have gone over a lot better than it did for being a remake. The main reason that the original RE wasn't as fearsome as it could have been was because the graphics, though good for their day, were a relative mess.

The remake is ten times as imposing. Why? Ask yourself that question.

If RE4 was first made on the PS2 (assuming it's the same game), it would have been just as good as the Cube version. It's unfair to say anything different, based solely on graphics.

Please read the entire post and the context in which I said it. I knew people would have problems.

Yeah, it's disappointing, but I can understand why they did it. Maybe on the next gen after Wii.

all halo game look shitty. Im buying PS3. not wasting my money on Wiiiiiiiiiiii or shitbox360.

You speak of wasting money...which is what you'll have to do to buy a PS3. Even if it's the best system in the world, that price is much too steep.

Instead wasting your money on the overexpensive PS3 with shit launch titles like Resistance which is Call of Duty with aliens. But yeah, Gran Turismo 4 in high definition is worth 600 bucks.

still PS3 has blu ray
does shitbox360 or Wiitard have them?

no-no-NO

next?

They have good games instead. Blu ray is lame anyways, it's not necessary in the least. Oh goody, I'm spending an extra 200 bucks so that games will come on one disc instead of the occasional 2 discs for the larger games. It's soooooo worth it.

I bet you don't even knbow what that is 😱

you guys are acting dumb
wii+360=PS3

neiter of those consoles offe wha the ps3 has. NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, wii + 360 = PS3 in price. One can get two seemingly superior systems for the same price. But hey, if you wanna spend 600 bucks for an unnecessary and expensive format upgrade so be it.

No, but XBox is going to have the HD-DVD drive which is only going to cost about $100 (not the $200 that BluRay is adding to the PS3 price).

It's ignorant to buy a next gen DVD drive now anyways since no one knows which format is going to end up on top. I'm not wasting my money to buy these movies in the new format until there is only one kind to choose from. HD-DVD's are useless as it is. DVD's are great right now.

The PS3 is hardly...if at all, better than the 360 graphics wise. XBox has established itself as next-gen already. PS3 is stealing ideas from Microsoft AND Nintendo just to match them. What does it offer that 360 doesn't? 360 is going to be integrated with your cellphone and your home PC. What does PS3 have then? Wii has the unique remote that Sony stole, and which only ONE game is using at the moment.
