I have always been and always will be a nintendo fan boy. They hold a special place in my heart for series such as Zelda, Mario, and Super Smash Bros. When I heard that they were coming out with a new system, I was thrilled beyond compare. When I got it, I couldn't stop playing Twilight Princess and Wii Sports. But as time dragged on, and I beat the games, I looked at new ones, and found that most sucked, especially compared to the Xbox 360 games. Nintendo introduced me to video games, and have always been ahead in technology, but they just don't utilize it well enough. They are held back by their "kid-friendly" policy, and don't make many games with much replay value. PS3, I'm not even going to go there, because I know I'll get flamed, but it also doesn't have many good games that aren't on other systems. Their whole thing is, we have better graphics, and BLUE RAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blue Ray takes very long to load, and disk space is actually taken up with the same files, so that it will load faster. They do have the best graphics, but that's only half the game. I do respect Sony for holding Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, though. So for these reasons, I have to side with Microsoft and the Xbox 360. They have more games that have more replay value, their internet, although you have to pay for it, and you can't browse the internet, is better. Way less games are dropped, and it takes a lot less time to connect to people. I do hate one thing about Microsoft though: they make really weak consoles. Nintendo's are way stronger. They don't burst into flames (I know that was a long time ago), they don't give heat scratches, and no matter which way you turn the Wii (or if it falls over) the game won't get scratched. Also, there is no red ring of death. One of my friends stepped on his gamecube every time he passed it, and it works perfectly. If you did that to and Xbox or an Xbox 360, it would be broken for sure, although maybe not the first time. So, in conclusion, I love Nintendo for making classic franchises, but side with Microsoft for making more good games, such as Halo and Call of Duty (even though I personally don't like COD, it's still a good game). And yes I know Call of Duty is on the Wii, but it's better on the Xbox 360.
I had my first encounter with the infamous Red Rings of Death yesterday. I thought it was a false alarm at first because I could still play Halo 3, but after one or two sessions, the console would lock up and prompt me to restart the system. Then everytime I turned on the 360 it would keep flashing those damn red lights. Man, I'm pissed. Well, long story short, I sent my Xbox in for repair today. The service rep told me I'd receive a brand new model if all checks up. Now I play the waiting game...

FFTactics Advance: GBA
FFIV - The After Years: Cell phones, WiiWare
Before Crisis: Cell phones
FFXII Revenant Wings: DS
FFTactics A2: DS
Crystal Chronicles Series: GC, DS, and Wii (no releases on Sony systems)
Kingdom Hearts: V CAST cell phones
KH Chain of Memories: GBA
KH Coded: Cell phones
KH 358/2 Days: DS
...oh yeah, Sony sure held onto those series and never let go. Vicelike iron grip, that.

Good luck. Last time I had the Red Ring of Death, I had to wait 6 weeks after I shipped it for repair. That was bad timing because the RRoD appeared right after I got Gears of War 2 for Christmas 🙁
But you're wrong. FF didn't even start out on Playstation, for starters. And, if you actually read GK's post, you will see that the number of FF/KH games that are actually exclusive to one system alone is very low.
A lot of them appear on a Sony system, yes. However, it's never been Sony-exclusive, which is pretty much impossible anyway as the series pre-dates the Playstation by several years.

tl;dr most of it, however point 1: it's spelt Blu ray, not Blue ray.
2. Halo 3 is not and never will be a good game...ever.
Anyone know if there is a possibility to change the region on the Xbox 360 DVD player? I've applied on a student-exchange program and might be moving to the US for one year next fall, and would love to take with me my 360, as a gaming console, but mostly for playing DVDs, but that would be pointless as currently my Norwegian bought 360 can only play Region 2 DVDs.

STFU.
Calm down, as long as you enjoy it that's all that matters right?!
Unless deep down you resent your purchase, because of this you are in denial and can't except anyone calling Halo a bad game. 😛 (btw the latter part of this response was a joke. Just to be clear on that.)

I have no idea how to mod a 360 and there is no legal way to change the region settings on a region-locked console, so far as I know.I may work in a game store, but we don't exactly encourage people to break the law 😛
Is the 360 Region free, I'm asking because it seems as if all of Europe will need to import Ghostbusters in order to play it on the 360?
