......damn!!!!!!....words fail me right now.....

The 360 is only partialy region-blocked when it comes to the games.

I had a friend over in the US who picked up GRAW 2, Halo 3, Rainbow Six Vegas and Call of Duty 4 for me, all played fine on my European Xbox. I also wanted him to buy The Simpsons Game, but I found out in advance that that one is region blocked. This list is a good help: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-00-3-xbox360_compatibility_guide-49-en.html

It's the DVD-player that's the evil one.

Ahh thanks a lot for the link.

If that's the case, there might be a way because I heard you can change the region code on regular DVD players.

I would try to do some research on it and see if anything comes up. I think its legal also.

I would imagine so, changing your region lock is just so you can play imports of various other medium, the companies who make said mediums (like games and films) still make a profit....you're still buying a product so I don't see why that would be a problem.

Search for a code you put in or something, thats how my uncle was going to do my DVD player like he did his, mine didn't work because no remote but maybe X-Box will be easier.

Right, the first timer ran out a few hours ago, now look.

I'd make a thread if I had some more info.

WHat did the first timer do? I haven't visited that site before so don't know what it changed, seems to be less then 5 days left for the next one.

I guess the first timer just counted down for the Big Boss image. Well, it looks like him.

I bet the new timer counts down for a trailer, or at least some information.

Today I was visited by the Red Ring of Death. Kinda annoying, but seeing as I am in the middle of exam preperations now, it couldn't have happened at a better time. No 360 around means less distractions from my readings. Hopefuly it will be back just as I finish my last exams.

The first timer (was about 90 hours long) was the daylight country side view (you could see the forest on the left and the fence and what seem to be a road on the right) while the storm was approaching. The number 5 flashed every 18 or so seconds (with every lighting), plus the source code of the page contains MGS and Metal Gear in it.

The second timer (about 120 hours) had the storm completely clouding the sky, but not completely darken, and flashed the letters (and numbers): e 5 E 3

this new timer (again about 120 hrs) has the full on raging storm, with the barely visible forest on the left and the fence in the distant right. The flashing letters are R 5 E 3 P e plus the image of Big Boss

... I expect, when this timer ends, a new timer with more letters and images 😛

... or maybe it will be unveil at E3

Heh...so my 360s were working fine after I got them repaired...the 1 that had the rod now has the e74 error...Imma try the towel trick and if it works I'm going to trade it for funds for another 1...though maybe I'll just keep the money saved for when Microsoft finally solves the fricking issues.

You'll be waiting a loooooooooooooooooong time my friend, a long time indeed, sadly.

A Permanent Fix for the e74 error biscuits

GK EDIT - Sorry, but it had to be removed for vulgarity.

you can do the towel trick to fix e74?

.

Apparentely. What the towel trick does is fool the xbox into forgetting the hardware failure and focus on the overheat. That is why it works for 1 week and then its dead again.

Microsoft are teaming up with Sky TV in the UK to give extra content to XBL that will include live sports broadcasts

Vulgarity? Not that I'm protesting or anything since I had it muted when I watched it. Was it something he said or did? The finger?

Any real good Tennis games?
