US Xbox 360 sales dwarf PS3 in November.

1.7 million Xbox 360s is almost double the figure achieved by Wii and PlayStation 3 which is still a massive 800,000 units shy of the Xbox 360.

The console recorded a 24 per cent increase over November 2010.

I think we've heard enough of these US market sales data.

Great!

here, have a cookie

Those are some damn nice looking cookies.

The PS3 is like the metric system, it's obviously superior but America refuses to get on board. 😎

edit

Wii U Could Cost $600 at Release

Even the Nintendo's President Satoru Iwata admitted, "This thing is not going to be cheap."

if that's the case, i'll pass. i'll use the money the better optimize my pc, instead..

I doubt Nintendo has already forgotten the lessons we all learned from the launch of the PS3 or more recently the 3DS. Surely they wouldn't release a 600$ system? They might as well shoot themselves in the foot.

Well, I've been using this same 12 gigabyte hard drive I got when I boughtn my 360 at launch all those years ago. But now I guess it's time to upgrade. Battlefield 3 alone needs like 11 ****ing gigabytes to insall all the updates and data. Geeze...

$600 for a Wii U?
That must be some kind of joke.
That's more than the price of the debut of the PS3.

If that's the case, then I'll pass.
I'll wait for the next-gen XBOX or PS.
Or better yet, upgrade my quad-core PC with a better GPU.

Oh, the Horror!

My PS3 just YLoD!

cry

Now I have to wait for repairs till Dec 28th at the earliest. no PS3 holiday gaming for me 🙁 and I got 3 untouched games I got during Black Friday

I guess is back to playing 360 or Wii 😐

at least I got Alan Wake to get back to

Guys, what are the chances that we'll get a CES (1/'12) or E3 (6/'12)next xbox and/or a ps4 reveal/announcement with a 2013 release?

Likely or unlikely?

I say highly likely.

I would think we will see a new XBOX at E3.

And maybe, a PS4 as well, just so Sony can compete. I don't see a new console until two winters from now (not including Wii U). I don't think MS or Sony really cares what Nintendo does.

Um, you sure about that?

I don't think sony or microsoft will easily brush off the wii being first place and i doubt they'd tolerate it again this time with the wiiu.

Surely they don't want to be second or third again.

The obviously care a bit but I don't think they really care that much to a point where they will try to release their next product early than expected.

If that is true, I too, will pass for a while.

Maybe buy a Wii when they drop to ... well, like 50$ or something, ... when the Wii U is released and then a year later when the Wii U costs a third of that I might get it 😐

but wasn't that a huge part of the reason why the wii was so successful? And also why the 360 is in front of the ps3?

The most important thing is being number one. And making the mistake of not launching at or around the wiiu release window would mean risking that spot. (again)

Consider history.

It's assumed that each console maker will want to be number 1 selling brand.

But releasing first, or around the Wii U doesn't really mean it won't achieve that.

Look at consoles figures this generation.

Wii is number at 89.36 Million. The 360 is 57.6 Million and the PS3 is 56 million.

Both the PS3 and the Wii was released after the 360 by almost a year.

Consoles sales are a result of many different things. I wouldn't know exactly what but I would think that it would involve good games, good quality product and that people generally want it.

I concur.

I've read an article in the web where it stated that compulsive buying in techonology is dead these days, at least to the lower-class to middle-class peoples.

It would be wise to wait for at least 6-12 months until the price drops to 1/2-1/3 of its price.

The difference is the Wii U is really Nintendo just catching up to where Sony and Microsoft are, spec-wise.

And I'm sure Sony/Microsoft want to see how the touchscreen controller is accepted. This way they can launch their next consoles with one instead of just ripping it off mid-life like they had to do with the Wii and motion controls. haermm

I've heard that the wiiu is suppose to be slightly more powerful than the 360 and ps3.

And that sony's vita is already going to be an optional controller for ps4 games in the style of wiiu's touch screen controller.
