Yeah.
I wouldn't mind if the games were 720p, as long as it's 60fps, I'm good.

After prolonged gaming, 30fps games do strain my eyes as well.

Guns to be removed from Avatar Marketplace for Xbox live

So apparently the Vita is doing substantially worse than the 3DS did in the first 2 weeks.

Right on. It's always nice to see capitalism work the way it's supposed to, every now and again.

So, yes. Hoping the Vita gets a price drop soon.

Guess this would be the best place to post it...

The Online Store being hacked, and everything on PSN made FREE? Figured Anonymous would do something to Sony again for supporting SOPA, but wow. Didn't see this coming.

Hey, Ridley, that may be a bad idea to link to such a website. For legals reasons. Government will be asking "why did you visit such a site?" We are not onion proxied up so it is probably not a good idea to visit that site.

While I appreciate the diligence in reporting, link to some news report, not Anonymous' staging site. We can't have links like that implicating us.

You're right, sorry. Glad I was saved the trouble of editing that out, but yeah. Shit's definitely happening.

I just went to PSN after reading that.

Nothing's free. 🙁

Not yet anyway.

Gotcha.

You mind PM'ing me that link?

Shit can be confusing on what is legal and not legal on the internet so it is probably best to avoid visiting or linking to any site that is DEFINITELY being proactive about doing something illegal: even if it is for educational purposes.

But, yes, shit is hitting the fan. Not sure how I feel about it.

Mind elaborating on that?

was that when Anonymous said it was going to attack PSN (they announced that around Xmas) or is this a new threat?... cuz the ESA pulled out their SOPA support, the only thing still supporting it is Sony Music which isn't necessarily SCE

It's a newer threat. I can't find a link that isn't illegal which has some kind of news on this at the moment, so sorry. But basically, for supporting SOPA, Anonymous plans to hack into the Sony online store and make everything free which normally wouldn't be.

Not that it's necessary because of what you said, but yeah. They just makes things worse.

I'd like to see then try, cuz I don't know if that's even possible.

Anyways I wouldn't risk my profile or my PS+ membership on trying that out, even if they succeed

Rumour: Microsoft to Scrap Microsoft Points

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-10622-Rumour--Microsoft-to-Scrap-Microsoft-Points.html

About time.

Now you can watch those leftover pennies stack up.

ok, this is right out bullsh*t

Report: No Used Games on Next Xbox
A bold move...but is Microsoft willing to compromise its consumer base?

Rumor has it the next-generation Xbox may limit exactly what kind of games you're allowed to play. According to sources speaking to Kotaku, the Xbox 360's successor will have some kind of anti-used-game enforcement. There's no explanation of what that means, but speculation surrounding the issue says the console could outright reject used-games altogether.

Online passes are a recent staple in staving off used sales. Limiting what used buyers can access is a protective measure for publishers, much to the chagrin of parts of the gaming community. Chris Kohler of Wired argues that the death of used games is inevitable, and passes are the first step toward something exactly like a native anti-used game something integrated into consoles. He notes, of course, that digital is the future of buying games, but in the meantime we may be looking at "an interim period in which the disc as a delivery method is still around but...becomes more like a PC game, which are sold with one-time-use keys that grant one owner a license to play the game on his machine."

For all we know, if this is legitimate, such a theoretical link between a Gamertag and new game would simply negate the need for online pass redemption codes in every game. This alleged feature comes alongside talks that the Xbox 3 will also turn to blu-ray for its primary format.

Until Microsoft officially unveils details about its much-rumored new device, we're relying on speculation with strong rhetoric to figure out the future of gaming. Would a console permanently banning of used-games be a deal-breaker for you?

I seriously hope this isn't true

I won't be buying the next xbox if that's the case and just stick to PS or PC

Such move will only encourage Piracy, and rightfully so
