The only problems right now are the Prices.
Before now it was more affordable and people bought the Sony Systems for the games.
It was nothing to fuss over in the pass and now there is.
is it comprehensible.....

Don't forget the "We're better than everybody else, and they all copy us" bullshit they've been going on about.
It's not just the prices anymore.
Personally, I'm really tired of the console wars. Rampant fanboys, naysayers and persons with political agendas against certain corporations, all via for some reason or another to see not only their preferred console of choice win but disturbingly enough the death of non-preferred consoles so that their preferred console will be a monopoly.
Which sickens me, honestly.
We NEED competition in the videogaming business. Without competition, we get less than stellar video games.
Not to mention, every console has something to offer for different personalities and needs.
Nintendo doesn't need to die. I love their franchises.
Playstation doesn't need to die. I love their exclusive third-party games.
XBOX doesn't need to die. I love their amazing online features.
NONE of them need to die. NONE of them need to dominate.
By having three different consoles, we have the option of choice. By rooting for the death or fatal defeat of a console we lose the option of choice. Three becomes two. Two becomes one. One becomes boring.
Everyone!
Say hello to Sony's “P oo S”.

wat, so £400 for a blu-ray player and the most powerful games machine EVER is too much? not really in my opinion. i've heard blu ray players are costing more than that on their own, yeah a lot of gamers cant afford that much, but a lot still can. many people who use the ps2 are older more mature gamers, people who work and get paid enough to be able to afford such machines. a 360 is like £370, which aint really that much cheaper but not as powerful. but its still a good machine.
we now have the most diverse set of consoles coming into existence ever, we have the pure power and stunning graphics of the ps3, the online capabilities and versatility of the 360, and the extremely fun looking wii with its innovitive control setup.
think back in the early nineties with the snes and the mega drive(genesis), both had platform games as their central franchise, sonic and mario. at least now we have different genres all providing variety and enjoyment.

Wii for litle kids? you're sick.
PS3 the future of videogames? all it has is a controler that you wobble? It's a half-assed rip-off of the wii. and it looks EXACTALLY like the PS and PS2 controler. besides, if you truly want to, you can get a work-out with the wii, that's exactly what fat gamers, like me need.

Xbox 360 = High Quality system with games to match. A good all around system that hardcores and casuals will enjoy. Will be to this generation what the PS2 was to last generation.Wii = The most purely innovative and daring system to come out in years, if successful you will see Sony and Microsoft copying many of it's innovations (Sony already is with their half assed attempt at ripping Nintendo's controller off).
PS3 = Overexpensive with no launch titles that will justify the cost. Will be very powerful and will eventually have good games, but not until next year. The least intriguing and impressive system from a gameplay standpoint. The only thing that's immediately intrituing about this system is a curiousity of whether or not people will shell out 600 dollars for a video game system. Is to this generation what the Xbox was to last generation -- A powerful system but lacking exclusive killer apps -- also too expensive for the casual market, which will be dominated by the Wii and the 360.
You're a good man Backfire!!
