Last-Gen Console Discussions (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii)

I have two articles today (they are both very short). The first one is about the PS2 outselling the 360 but its obvious as to why they are and the second article is about the SONY execs saying the PS3 will eliminate the PC.

oh and for the second article you should read some of the comments... these people have very valid points as to why you shouldnt get a PS3.

I rewatched the clip and he didnt say authentic.

But, he did say, " the stages of the game will also be based on famous battles which actually too place in acient Japan."

That pretty much makes no sense to have giant crabs in the game if it took place in famous battles in Ancient Japan.

What he should say is the game is based in time of Ancient Japan, and not famous battles.

ok, these battles actually took place on japan. however, they're only BASING them on these battles. i'm just trying to get over my point that these were made by people who hate sony for being a successful company. nintendo or microsoft fanboys perhaps? i couldnt care less about what machines are out there. they all have their good games and strong points. i just feel this was taken well out of perspective and theres no basis to it.

I 100% agree with you.

There is also a rumour going around that the PS3 will not be shipped with the specs mentioned at E3, they will be downgraded for some reason.

Ok folks today we have here 2 articles again (very short reading). The first article is about Blu-Ray being released in a week or 2, while the second article is about how the Wii controller works and how SONY jumped onto their idea.

you need an article to know if sont pinched nintendos idea with the controller? i thought it was blatently obvious. from what developers were saying they were told a month before e3 that this was happening.

as for blue ray? i dont see that or hd dvd kicking off for a little while yet. mainly because they're simple too dear. much like the umd.

it doesnt even matter, because sony missed the point of what nintendo is doing.
motion sensor technology is not the breakthrough, but rather full range of movement on screen through motion. instead they tookk it and threw it in the old duelshock. WOW!!!! IMPRESSIVE!!!! now i can tilt the controller to simulate the feeling of.........well nothing....i guess ill just use the analog.

the whole frikin point was to reinvent the controls, not just add an extra bell or whistle. upon the news that sony attempted to bite nintendo, and the upon the conclusion that they were so desperate to do so that they missed the point...sony strikes me as an idiotic and desperate corporation gambling on the gullibility of their customers.

If you bothered to read the article it would say what you just mentioned. The developers of WARHAWK had 10 days to implement the tilt technology. Like PVS said, SONY completely missed the point, its about free range motion sensing and not about tilt sensing. The idea being you dont have to sit down to play a game and instead be apart of it. I would have enjoyed more if SONY had not took NINTENDOs idea and instead redesign their controller.
