Just Another Sad Goodbye?

Wishing for the impossible
Is not unlike me
But just this once
I'd like my desires to be
I often ask you questions
In hopes of breaking through
Yet the more I try
The further away I am to you
I spend hours upon hours
Searching for the words
That will one day convince you
All I have ever wanted to be
Is the one who loves and protects you
For a time you let me
But for reasons I do not know
You decided that we were for not
I'd give anything to
Hold you in my arms once more
But if your heart is
Unwilling to believe in love
Then surely heaven is a lie

When It Hurts To Live

I gave you so many chances
To tell me the truth
Time after time you put your lies
Before what I believed to be a friendship
After all that we have been through
I know I deserved better than this
And even though the pain may never stop
This time I truly must say goodbye
I sincerely hope your actions
Were worth it to you in the end
Because you are the one
Who has to live with the resolution
