Is Superman the ultimate Superhero?

First off Even Vegeta has praised Goku as a fighting genius. Hes not smart in real life. But in battles, hes the best there is (In DBZ)

And as for powers? I really am not getting how you can think Superman could win? Goku could sneeze at the wrong time and destroy the earth (as a non-Super Saiyan)...So I'm not sure why you think Superman could win, he isnt close to having that kind of power.

I gotta say this. Stop trying to put words and thoughts into other peoples heads. Because thats definitely not why I think Goku would win. I think Goku would win because hes stronger. A lot stronger.

No one has givin any proof that Superman could do anything close to destroying a planet. And thats a feat that Goku could do by accident if hes not very very careful. So I don't see how Supes could be even considered on the same level of power as Goku.

As a matter of fact I was gonna make a thread that was saying the exact opposite of what you just have accused me of being. That people don't give superman any respect and that when (mostly in the versus forums) if a fight is even remotely close they give it to "not Superman" which really pisses me off.

Fact is I respect Supes a whole hell of a lot. But I'm not blinded by "fanboyism" like a good deal of people are. Unlike you (whom in fact I have noted as being quite bias towards superman despite logic) I actually think its possible for Superman to be beaten. He's not a god, hes not invincible, Hes an alien. hes strong and fast and all that, but fact is there are some people (like DBZ characters to keep along the previous argument) that would wipe the floor with him.

The moral of what I'm saying is: Think before you speak and especially think before you accuse someone of something. Otherwise your gonna end up in a whole lotta trouble.

Basically all the stuff you said about DBZ is completly false. Actually anybody who knows about both characters, knows that Post-Crisis Superman >>> any DBZ character. If you think Goku or any other DBZ character is greater than Superman you'll have to bring proof of this, just saying Goku is stronger isn't convincing me at all. 🙂

Superman has a lot of cool powers. Heat Vision, Freeze breath etc. His heat vision is damn hot. But it can’t destroy planets. Nor would he ever be able to hit Goku with it anyways (see above). Now, Goku has so much ki power that he posses the ability to destroy a planet roughly 333 times during the Frieza saga BEFORE he became a Super Saiyan according to the powerlevels given by Akira Toriyama. How do I know this? Math. Simple Math. In the Saiyan saga Vegeta destroys the planet Arlia with absolutely no difficulty. (He used 2 fingers and didn’t even flinch) Then later while fighting Goku (after getting pummeled by Goku’s Kaio Ken) He threatens to destroy the Earth. He says something along the lines of “Dodge this next attack if you can Kakarot, but even if you do this entire planet is going up in smoke!” This is when Goku and Vegeta have the big ki blast battle where Goku uses Kaio-Ken x4. Now Vegeta’s Powerlevel at this time is about 18,000. So at the very least we know that with a powerlevel of 18,000 you are strong enough to destroy a planet. Now, Goku’s powerlevel using Kaio-Ken x20 while fighting Frieza on Namek is about 6,000,000.

6,000,000 divided by 18,000 is 333.333.

As note Super Saiyan Goku on Namek, with no training as a Super Saiyan (A new Super Saiyan) has a powerlevel of about 15,000,000. That equates to being able to destroy a planet roughly 833 times over. Now imagine Goku’s power during the Buu saga. Its easily 3-5 times more then what it was on Namek. And that’s likely underestimating it. (Unfortunately we have no way to really know as Toriyama stopped doing powerlevels after Namek) But its safe to say that Super Saiyan 2 is double the power of a Super Saiyan and then Super Saiyan 3 is at least triple the power of a regular Super Saiyan (though I think its more logical to assume that its double the power of a Super Saiyan 2)
