Which is source by several gay magazines if you've watched the entire thing...Still it's kinda pathetic...
😐
Or maybe you're referring to the fact that because I posted something that made you uncomfortable about Superman(a FICTIONAL character, not one of your family members for Pete's sake😮) you felt the need to be "snooty" w/me. If that's what you're referring to, no argument there man. I agree w/you. It is kinda pathetic. 🙂
I was referring to the actual article. The Advocate (which printed the first article about it...) thinks everyone is gay. Even Spider-Man's hands for some dumb reason...
But on that note it IS rather puzzling, you would take time out of your day and take every opportunity available to bash a comic book icon. I absolutely despise Hawkeye but I don't make a living out of it. You on the other hand seem to take pains to make an everyday habit. I don't THINK you hate Superman. This speaks of obsession. I think you have a horrible secret: You kinda like Superman...and you hate yourself for it.
As once said, "The opposite of love isn't hate....it's indifference." You're nto indifferent to Superman. If you didn't like Superman, you wouldn't waste your time on the Superman forum any other than I would waste time on the Star Wars forum because I don't like Star Wars...at all. Since you DO actively spend most of your time on the Superman forum, this speaks of something other than sheer dislike entirely....
😆 I think you're getting a lil' carried away here. 1st off if you think me informing people that Superman's orientation is a news issue is "bashing" him, maybe you just can't take the idea of Supes being gay(Not that there's anything wrong w/that 🙂). 2nd, I don't think I've ever said I hate Supes.(Might have) I don't even "sheerly" dislike him(Not sure if sheerly is a word🙂) I just hate what DC does w/him most of the time. I actually watch Smallville & the Supes animated series. This isn't the 1st time we had a discussion like this if I remember right. It's like I can't say anything you don't like about Supes or WW(FICTIONAL characters, not family members) w/out you going all crazy & sh*t 🙂 It's really not that serious. This message board is an entertainment vehicles where we post opinions about comic book characters. Lighten up dude. & how the hell can you not like Hawkeye? He's got a memory eraser arrow!

Superman is gay...on Authority under the guise of Apollo. Man has needs...

You have stated you "hate" or "abhor" Superman.
Are saying you DON'T dislike Superman? Why?

Ugh. Don't watch Smallville. I stopped watching after Lana Lane suddenly became some sort of martial-arts goddess...

It really has nothing to do with offense towards you. It's just interest on why you seem to gravitate towards Superman. At LEAST admit, you don't like him. Don't sugarcoat it.
The only discussion we've ever really had was when you apparently believed Spider-Man was more well-known and popular than Superman even though he has a U.N. plaque and several worldwide parades held in his "honor" (the poor taxpayers...). Which I grossly disagreed as propostrous as Scientology being more popular than Christianity.
THAT was the only beef I had with you. Not because of your Superman dislike. But because you apparently like Superman so much that you couldn't admit the simple fact that Superman is more well-known.
As for me, I DO dislike Superman's flamboyant need to take the spotlight whenever needed. Infinite Crisis' ending bombed with Superman taking Superboy Prime down when the entire GLC Corps. couldn't. Or when he seems to gueststar in every comic on DC (and sometimes Marvel...) for no apparent reason.
HOWEVER, I DO recognize WHY they do so. He's Superman. Premiero uno superhero. And whether we like it or not, it will always be this way.
I WOULD however cancel some the Superman titles he doesn't need. Batman needs SERIOUS trimming in his library as well.....
😘

I don't like the idea of some guy doing mental attacks and Supes can stand up to him, but MM can't. WTF?!?!?!?!? It always seemed to me like DC don't really give a f**k about nobody but Supes, Bats & WW. I used to like Supes and WW when I was a youngin'. Nowadays I don't think uber-powered characters are really all that exciting.
The glasses thing is just plain stupid and the costume is corny--Smallvile avoids these things.
I still think Spidey's more popular than Supes though, (Everyone likes Spidey right?)but there's honestly no 100% accurate test of this theory that I'm willing to go through.
The majority(all) of "greatest" or Ultimate lists I've seen have Spidey @ the top and Bats and Supes fighting for second.
Batman's still cool, but the sidekick thing always made him seem kinda "festive" too. Drop the sidekicks! That s**t was cool about 50 years ago.

DC doesn't give a nutshell about Wonder Woman unfortunately. That's not true. She always gets the bad writers and even worse writers. 🙁
Superman's Torsquam-Vao WAS stupid. Agreed. But not nearly as stupid as Spider-Man's ability to eat people and Iron-Man costume. I hope THAT goes away in Civil War....
The glasses IS corny but the costume is iconic. Superman's costume set the basic guideline for superhero costumes. Namely the cape. I don't like the underwear though. Singer's costume at least makes the briefs...
Spider-Man is not nearly as popular as you think. You're kidding yourself on that note due to American ethnocentrism and Western heritage. You failed to implement what OTHER cultures may think of Spider-Man. For example, Spider-Man is not very popular in Thailand or China because they view him as an idiot who abandons his duty to his family in favor of superheroics. They like Superman better because of his altruism without any agenda. Japan also loves Superman because they like insanely powerful characters *coughGokucough*. Hell, their most popular anime character is based on Superman. Spider-Man is limited to cultural restraints. Believe it or not, not everyone will relate to a wise-cracking New Yorker.
Superman on the other hand is universal because he stands for pure, unadulterated altruism with no self-interest or hidden agenda. He just wants to help people. This compassion allows him to cross over to all cultures, faiths and countries.
Now, I'll buy Spider-Man being more popular in the Bronx, but the entire world? Hardly.
Batman is more fun when's he has a supporting cast like Huntress or Nightwing. When he's alone, he turns into a silent bastard who doesn't have any personality....

No more Robins!!! Bats is an @sshole and it makes him more interesting than goody goody Supes. I think Spidey's definitely more popular in America. I'll have to look into that Thailand stuff. Goku is mainly based off the monkey king legend. I hope Spidey loses the organics too.
Spider-Man severely needs a makeover. His comic has been plummeting in quality over the years. Norman Osborn apparently had sex with Gwen Stacy AND they had a kid? 🤨
His potential as a high school teacher was tremendous. They could have gone into a hundreds of good stories with that going.
But NOW, he's some sort of Spider-Totem with Wolverine daggers popping out of his wrist and the need to eat people's face. Oh, and he has this corny ass Iron Man suit for no reason other than Tony Stark saying so...
NOW for some goddamn reason he revealed his identity to the entire world in Civil War for no apparent reason other than suck Tony Stark's proverbial d***. The comic said it was because Peter felt indebted to Stark for the suit...THAT'S why he revealed his identity... 🙄
His character is in shambles. They need to fix and fast...
Spider-Man is probably more popular in the northeast of America but in Southern and Central America I doubt it.

I love Superman. However, he isn't the ultimate superhero. Definitely the most popular, but not the ultimate.
He's the one with the fewest enemies that can take him down. you can't say that for alot if anyone else.
He's the ultimate good guy, too. You can't get more pro-crime than Superman.
Everyone Superhero has a personal reason for Superheroing. Superman Superheroes out of selflessness without expecting not even a thank you, in the least.
Originally posted by Draco69The problem is that they keep making him over. Spidey's the greatest character ever. They're changing him too much. It all started w/them whoring him out to make him more like he is in the movies. Now the just change him for no reason. Spidey was best before the organics. & Spidey already had 2 of the coolest looking costumes in comic history. Iron Spidey sux. I've only read up to civil war 2. If that's why Spidey did it, that's simply retarded.
