Yoda vs. Dooku

ESB, perhaps it is you who should pay attention... Yoda's hands were parallel with his chest when the blast slammed into him. He did indeed try to deflect it; unless you're insinuating he intentionally let himself be nailed.

No. Sidious delt him a blow because Yoda was too slow. Dooku never did. Like it or not ESB, and you'll have to deal with it. Sidious injured Yoda. Dooku did not. Color it up anyway you like. Dooku simply didn't do it.

Make all the excuses you like. I'll be happy to give you my rebuttle.

a) Notice Yoda's right hand going up. While the blast came off as a surprise, he's obviously taken note to it and has attempted to defend himself.

b) Did you 'SEE' the scene in which Palpatine blasted him? I agree that it caught Yoda by surprise, but HOW in the hell did he NOT NOTICE? I happen to know preschoolers who could've moved quicker than that.

I am surpised Sidious didn't block or notice that Yoda was going to virtually "shove" him into a chair. With his foresight, and all.

Well, I for one wasn't aware that one could 'block' a Force-push, seeings how it is a universal attack with no visible field or possible indication of usage. Also, considering how someone as powerful as Yoda fired it off, I'm certain he couldn't have if he wanted. And, as for the foresight remark, it's certainly better developed than Yoda's, Mace's, or Dooku's. But no one, has immensely accurate foresight. Not even Traya.

But, you can counter a Force push with another. Or did he not know of that power?

Anakin and OBi-wan managed to block eachothers force-push for a time. It's probably something that can only be seen in the force.

Dooku could possibly defeat Yoda, but honestly... I doubt it. It would be a long fight, but I don't see Dooku defeating Yoda.

Meh, dramatic neccessity makes Sidious a tougher opponent for Yoda, but it sure as hell wasn't his subpar saber skills. What's with the underhanded pokes? Sheesh! I bet I could whup Sidious' ass in saber combat.

And the dodgy facial expressions. Sidious looks like he is having an enema.

That would make me DLotS.

It would suck horribly if Yoda was better, because then the OT should be rewritten with Yoda being some sort of stalker trying to kill the sith lords.

he wouldn't just go to some stupid swamp planet if he was the most powerful warrior.

They 'both' Force pushed eachother. The energy crashed against them, until finally both let go and were flung back.

And Yoda was quicker on the draw. He'd already had his hand up. Sidious couldn't have done it.

At the same time, I'm surprised that Yoda didn't BLOCK the lightning.

He did block it on later into the fight. After his lightsaber was blasted he was prepared, but the first time Sidious blasted lightning yoda was indeed not ready. Take a look at the picture. Also, Yoda could not have expected it since he cant read Sids mind. And lightning does not travel slow.
