I thought you were listening to 'Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace' a lot lately or something? If you had, there's no way you could possibly think Green Day is more complex than Foo Fighters, musically.I'm not saying I dislike Green Day just because they're simple. I said I dislike them for the reason I dislike Coldplay. They're simple, in a boring way.
I can't really explain what I mean here without sounding stupid, which is annoying since it makes sense to me, but I can't word it. awehuhs

But I still don't think Foo Fighters are complex or anything, even if they are pretty good, etc. A lot of their songs have this sound and feel to them to a lot of other Foo Fighters songs, there isn't much variation in style in there, imo. They just play good, catchy songs.

Complex isn't just sounding like the Mars Volta or Tool or ****ing Foals or something. If that's what you think I'm trying to say. I actually dislike (a bit) the Mars Volta for trying to sound complex too hard.

Foo Fighters are very McCartney influenced. Which you can definitely hear throughout Echoes.
