I quite like Nolan, I think he's not done a bad movie, and he's done a couple really great ones. Memento, Batman Begins, Interstellar...
He's good, yeah. Memento is flawless, pretty much. He just kind of comes across as an art-house director for people who don't understand or care for actual art films. Or even art in films.

I really don't care that deeply.

If I like the film, I like the film srug

Supposedly, his first effort is supposed to be his best. I've never seen anything by him I liked though, so I'm not going to give it a try. American cinema has been as good as dead for at least 15 years anyway.
Memento is genuinely a pretty great film, it's worth a watch.

Exactly. He's the cinematic equivalent to the Killers.

I've seen it. I don't think it's that special, it's like M. Night Shyamalan actually went to film school.

At least it doesn't feature a hard cut every 5 seconds like in his later work. That shit gets old really fast.

Man, art cinema is all's I got! I don't really like superhero films and I'm not sold on Adam Sandler, romcoms or big, expansive Oscar-winning historical biopics. I need to take what I get!
