The last good movie I remember coming out of Hollywood was Drive. And even that wasn't great. Even the great American filmmakers of the past have been making crap. Cronenberg? A History of Violence is one the most laughably bad films I've ever seen. Jarmusch? Only Lovers Left Alive was a lackluster attempt at trying to blend his indie cool with the flavour of the moment; vampires. Scorsese? The Wolf of Wall Street is an Apatow flick in disguise!
