A deep enough thought to warrant a respectful acknowledgement here, even if someone else, including you yourself, mocks it after this point.

Game played against a much lower ranked player who did NOT play like a much lower ranked character. I started to rematch him or her, if for no other reason than to see how much my "Elo" rating would go down if I lost, which this game will prove, if I ever illustrate it, was NOT some remote possibility...

Game played against a higher ranked, won with my favorite opening, the Latvian Gambit. Somewhat unexpected; the Latvian has the dubious distinction of being
"possibly the worst opening in chess" ...

Of course, that's not only why I like it, but probably why only the success I've enjoyed from the Ware Defense matches or exceeds it.
