Guy gave me a COUPLE of free lessons with this one ...

This felt like the kind of "win" you might get if you were playing a DRUNK Kasparov ...

Problem was I got too experimental.

I'm so used to dispensing with general guidelines and winning, even against people in the 3000+ range, that I forget the guidelines BECAME guidelines for a reason. My opening here, with me trying to make an outpost for my dark-square bishop, essentially left me checkmated ... in the first 6 moves.

Lessons from previous post:

1. Guard your King pawn.

2. If you lose your King pawn to a centralized knight before castling, DON'T use your King Bishop pawn to attack it, UNLESS you have done SOMETHING to secure the "Royal Wedding" diagonal.

Lessons from the set of moves directly above?

For my opponent:

Don't get greedy. Focus on the main goal at all times.
This was forced checkmate of my king in 2 moves, not a simple rook capture.

For me:

When down, nevertheless think through King safety, through SEVERAL moves, unless the situation is absolutely No Win.
Proper course here would have been to move the Queen pawn up a space or two, creating an escape hatch for the king. As it is, with the route taken, my opponent could have had an instawin by simply moving their queen to d5 after the move shown in my last scan.

The Blitz chess site my screenshots are taken from?
It cleared the game like 1 minute after my last post above.

Just as well; important points just about covered, save one:

Language may be complex, may need to be simplified.
But concept is relatively simple:
Avoid Fool's Mate setups and loosely disguised Fool's Mate set-ups.
That's essentially what standard "general guideline" development prevents.

James Rickard observes how deceptively effective President Trump actually is:

Scandals are the red ball Trump uses to court pack and pass business friendly regulations while the media are distracted.

I'm intrigued, hopeful, and worried all at the same time at his mention of Trump potentially controlling the Fed.

I'd like to find the full video.

I didn't search hard enough.

Link was a few lines down from the vid the hyperlink in my previous post leads you to:

Engaging video; portion from my previous post begins in this one around the 46 minute mark, from which point I watched to the end
(I have yet to watch the first 45 or so minutes, though).

Game played against a higher ranked.
Pretty sure I had 'em ... but time ran out.
