Dreams

What Irene said...or perhaps, you feel you've failed your father at something?

Deal with the problem, and the dream will go away 😄

No me and my father are very close and i dont think ive failed him in anyway.....but he has been sick for years and years could that have something to do with it?

Noone can be certain, but if this is happening for years maybe having your dream interpreted by a professional would help you?

And it may be the sickness that is seperating him from you.

Probably--I'm guessing you feel you helpless in that you can't help him in his illness, except for moral support...it's a possibilty, but my gut feeling says that's not the problem 😬

if you and your dad have a good relationship it means you are afraid to fail him

Are you worried that something might happen to him through his sickness?

isnt there already a thread in here for dreams?

well he has been sick his whole life....there has not been one year where he has been off work for months cause he is to sick or had to go in for surgery. when i was 12 i went to go see him in the hospital with my mom and i didnt leave i stayed there with him cause no one was telling me but i knew he was probably gonna die. Like there has been times when we were thinking this is the last time im gonna see him. one time i didnt see him or talk to him for 2 months cause he was going for a another surgery and my mom didnt want me to see him that sick. his surgery lasted 10 hours...when he came home he was in a chair for like 5 months cause it hurt to much to walk and we had to hire a nurse to come here everyday.

Dreams

Do you think dreams have significance?

At our college library, there is a 'Dream Dictionary' - a book which describes what your dreams symbolise. Whenever we got bored, we would have a quick look through it, deciphering each others dreams. The weird thing is - they actually made sense. Our dreams did seem to represent what we were worrying about or looking forward to.

What do you feel?

Oddly, that "dream deciphering" thing is pretty accurate. Surprised the hell out of me when my former english teacher(he's now a psycologist) told me the meaning of one of my dreams. What he told me was right damnit.

So me dreaming being the US president means what then?

I dunno...

Dream deciphering can be amazingly accurate because much of the time your dreams are your subconcious trying to tell you something.

Unless you have a really overactive imagination and just have really bizarre dreams all the time (like I tend to do).

hmm...that you aspire to be a great man with power, and that you want respect from everyone?

Deciphering a dream also depends on what you do in that dream. If you're the President and sit around doing nothing, it says very little.

No, I think dreams are just dreams. I don't think they're significant in any way except for allowing your mind to wander while you sleep.

Dreams are an insight into your subconscious.

^ (Backfire) agree.
What if you've just seen a horror movie late at night and then you have awful nighmares of being chased or killed, then does it necesairily mean that there's something wrong?

Wuteva your obviously refering to a nightmare, nightmares don't mean that something bad is going to happen, it just means that you don't understand your life.

BackFire I'm sorry Hun but your completely wrong, dreams are a reflection of our inner-strengths, weaknesses, troubles and thoughts. They have a lot to do with your real life. Every dream means something.

Take flying for example. To dream that your flying means that your on top of a situation in your life.

DREAM-FACT: It is actually possible to pull somebody into your dream. It is said we dream on 'channels', and to share the same dream means your most likely dreaming on the same channel.

If anybody would like me to tell them what thier dreams mean I would be only too happy to help 🙂

The only thing you can say for certain about dreams is that empirical statements like those will always be incorrect. Dreams are not a "reflection of our inner-strengths, weaknesses, troubles and thoughts" - tho sometimes certain aspects of some of our dreams might be.

Dreaming that you are flying does not mean "that your on top of a situation"

DREAM-FACT is far from being a fact. Anyone who could PROVE THIS FACT could claim $1,000,000 from CSICOP because they could demonstrate psychic ability.

You can't Analise a strangers dreams with any degree of worth because different people react to archetypal symbolism in different ways.

Fascinating place our dream life and deserving of more attention than most people give it - but bunkum like this helps no-one.
