Dreams

I've had some interesting situations. Normally I can't fully control my dreams but I can control what i'm doing in them however the consequences of any actions are brought on by my mind, normally this happens when i'm exhausted (like to the point where I've passed out). When I start to realize that i'm in a dream I wake up but have no energy to stay awake and just go back into the dream again. Maybe these are the reasons that 8 hours of sleep feels like 2 for me. :/

There have been times that I have been able to control my dreams. In one dream something really bad was going to happen to me, like someone was going to get me, and I thought to myself, NO..I'm going to walk out the door and go to a nicer place, and WOW! it worked....

Another time when someone was after me, I said to myself" NO..I'll just ignore him, he can't hurt me." But this was harder cause I had to stand there, in my dream, and really believe that I was going to be OK..And it worked..Aha...no power over me......

It seems that I only care to change them if It's a bad dream...I'm a vivid dreamer, and dream every night...Lucid dreams give you power.

I don't really like to change most of my dreams, because I enjoy them...

As for our brains using as much energy during dreaming as in waking, it has been theorized that our dreams are our created reality in other dimensions. If you could understand the symbols in your dreams, you could learn much about how to improve your life, and communicate with others in the other dimensions, angles, etc...

I just saw a movie in science class today
it explain that Humans used the same amount of their brain when theydreamed and on daily life
so
how do you know when you're dreaming and when you are experiencing real life? 😕

I would say false because of the people who use only half a brain and not the right and left side of it.JM 😕

What?

There has only been one time that I knew I was dreaming, although it was strange.

Like, it wasn't like, in the dream I said to myself, "Oh, my body is lying in my bed right now." It was more of this feeling that I could do anything I wanted, than really knowing it was a dream.

Why do you even try?

we can never really know if reality is a dream or not, cause well when i dream, it seems as real to me then when im awake,{but when im awake, the dream doesnt seem real}, i cud be dreamin right now for all i know.

life confuses me

ur not alone there

i've controlled some of my dreams before. though its been a few weeks.

oh, and has anyone had a dream that continued over several days? not jus repeating but continuing on like a movie?
its happend to me and it wasn't a pleasent dream to be in for 3 days (like a trilogy). myself and several others were in the woods being chased by some thing that tried to kill us (me several times). very realistic dream and i woke up sweaty and tired. i still remember in the dream thinking to myself that i have to move or i'll get killed and similar things
and when i realised that it was a the second or third part of the dream the night before i controlled what i did in the dream. but i couldn't wake up till either someone woke me up...or when the dream story was over (the last part of the dream --number 3). i didn't die in the dream but it did come close. like the whole time i was stuck in a horror movie tv_horror --an actual scary one though.

I was reading a while ago about lucid dreaming where you are in control of your dream. To do this though you must first be able to identify when you are dreaming.

One way to do this is by habit. For example: If, in real life, every 5 minutes you tried to jump off the ground and fly away like superman, then in theory it should become so much of a habit that when you're dreaming you will also do it. And of course in a dream anything is possible. So if you try to fly, and you actually do you'll know you're dreaming and hence be able to control your dream and do whatever you want (with whoever you want 😉 ) and go wherever you want.

The trouble is that people usually get so excited they're controlling their dream that they wake themselves up!

Would be fun to do though 😄

I've had lucid dreams before. I usually know it because something will be wrong, even if its just a tiny thing. sometimes my clock is on the wrong wall, sometimes the staircase is spiral instead of straight, and once I was in the upstairs bathroom and saw my brother walk past the window! I can always wake myself up by lying on the floor and sitting up, and I will wake up sitting up in my bed

yup but mine don't continue day after day
i usually have a dream and the two years later it continues
which totally sucks! 😠

just wondering some times they say u dream what u last thought about like lets say a boy or what u most think about is that true or that u dream something and it happens like deshabu

Dreams are just you're thoughts... only much more vivid because there are no distractions and all you're senses are basically gone.

that's what I think anyway.

there may be such things as precognitive or psychic dreams, but I've never experienced anything like it... just coincidences. I believe if these really do occur it comes from a higher power...

Dreaming about what you last thought NEVER happens to me, it's actually the oppisite of it
if i think about it i'll have a completly different dream
which is why i refuse to think about Brad Pitt before i go to sleep

lol

ROFLMAO!!!

lmao 😄 yeah its the same for me. i dnt think my dreams cld b real tho cos i dnt think there cld b an alternate reality with talking bears in shopping centres and madonna running schools in watford 🙄 i agree with king burger tho: Dreams have no linear reality to them, and no logic either.

Its so strange thinking back to dreams. A lot of the time i think it actualy happened and i find my self talking about it to someone then realising it was a dream.

I remember one dream i had. I dont remember much about it except that it lasted for a lifetime and i remember waking up releived that i was awake. I've never been able to control my dreams but there is one thing i can do. After waking up i can make my self dream. My eyes r open, i know im in my room but im dreaming, there's no visual image just that it really feels like its happening.

I remember i had saved up money to buy a quarter of weed. And i woke up the day i was gonna buy it and then had a dream where i was awake. I was smoking it, it was so real. I was talking to people around me then I looked around and just thought wat the ****.

that is really strange. u kno i wld hav thought it weird except for last night i think i did something similar- i was sort of half asleep and dreaming and getting really pissed off cos id keep remindin myself that i was still in my room and those things werent happenin rite then- it was really disturbing.

That sounds exactly like wat happens to me. It is really strange when it happens though.
