Yes he is.

You roll... 14 and 19... for nine damage, which takes him past the magic level of 70! I won't bother with a death check for you.

Stumbling backwards, he falls.

Sasha had dropped to one knee and let the last two shots burn into his chest, her aiming position solid. She remains there for a moment as the Osokan falls backwards, as if not realizing that the fight is over. Within a few seconds, she snaps out of it, and rises to her feet in a dignified way. Well, as dignified as a bloodied young girl can be.

She looks to Vormax, spinning the gun around her finger once before holstering it.

You are actually two points impaired now, and veru unwell. Your Captain runs forwards and holds you up.

"You've had your blood sport!" he yells. "Now give us what we came for!"

"Well fought," says Vormax. "But to fight for your life is one thing. How can I believe you would fight so when you did not have to?"

Collapsing backwards onto Captain Ranad, she tries to steady herself.

"What evidence have you that I would not fight so?" Sasha says. "I am here to fight against the evil shadow that the Empire casts over your lands. I will stand against them until victory is ours."

"And what do you call victory?" asks Vormax.

"Preventing the Imperial forces from bombing Lanzar City into oblivion," Sasha gasps out. "Fighting back the waves of stormtroopers they will send. Keeping them from destroying the shield generator. Preserving Lanzar City."

"So you are saying that at the end of this, either the Imperials will be gone or you will be dead?"

"Precisely."

"And get killed running the blockade back and forth to get to me? Try again."

"Well what are you proposing?"

(He already proposed: more credits. Maybe you can call us in, saying we've got the credits, and then we just hijack him. We can't get them all, but we never were to begin with. Maybe it'll be enough just to get them to cooperate. Maybe just bluffing it will help.)

I think if I threaten to tell the Hutts he's spooning off the top he'll crack.
Pissing off Hutts is bad.

"You're a liar," says Vormax. "If this planet falls, you would choose to escape, to protect your own."

Hmm, he may have a point there. Not entirely stupid, this pig.

-

"I propose either the money or a better deal," says the Captain.

Unfortunately, Cass, your Savoir-Faire is low, and with it your knowledge of how Hutt society works.

Hows my lying?

Non-existant. You are not a negotiator. Kyle is better at this kind of thing; you are the better Pilot.

(Tell him: "Ok fine, I'll call my boss." I'll fly over and deal with the idiot. I can either straight negotiate or bluff a hijacking. Of course, there's also really hijacking him, but I'm not sure we should be doing that. But it's kinda like a Robin Hood thing. We wouldn't hurt them, and they'd get their ships back. After all they were compensated, we're just enforcing the contract.)

"...yes, that is try. You are no fool, Vormax, I can see that. But I am here to make sure that Lanzar does not fall. I will do whatever it takes to make that a fact."

"One Second, I know someone who is more sutable for this negociating."
Kyle, your up to bat.
(Really wasn't expecting this much trouble)

"Ok," he says, "but the longer you take, the more I am charging."

---

Vormax considers this.

"I'll give you half back, of each shipment," he says.

---

Galahad- you are on for talking with Melkor! Convo thread!

Kyle gets Cassius' message and swears. "Spacing pirates! Well, buddy, looks like we start earning our keep. Let's go show that extortionist who he's dealing with. Call the other ships and tell them what's going on. Actually, have them follow us. Time isn't on our side, we can't allow for any more delays in timing this thing." Kyle kicks in the power to his engines and rockets full throttle to hyperspace and an argument he can't wait to start.

"What would I have to do to procure the other halves?" Sasha asks.
