Yes, you can aid him in his rolls. He'll need all hands to keep this baby flying.

Never mind a chase, you aren't even sure if the ship will survive a high-speed re-entry! It is falling apart around you.

I'd say you pushed your luck too far this time, and so you won't survive. Truth is, of course, you haven't pushed your luck at all yet.

-

Scarlet, it's no good. You arrive, but they won't follow you.

"This one's over for you guys," they tell you. "We're landing in the city, sort it out from there."

Landing in the city means either letting thr Imperials take the weapons and arresting everyone involved- really not an option- or Drakkon directly defying Imperial authority to bring in the shipments.

The Imperials' accusations on Drakkon's character will seem confirmed. Senate Sympathy will decrease.

I am afraid the Imperials have won here. Now we have to see who lives through it.

(Shit. Any chance I can use some Luck to get out of this?)

Kyle flinches as sparks land on his neck. Too late, he realises he'd misjudged his chances holding out long enough in this battle. Although he forcefully keeps in mind there were some lucky hits from the TIE's. Still, facts were facts and and the fact is,they lost.

"Hey Buddy." Kyle calmly says to Eerin as his partner slides into his seat. "Looks like I screwed this one up good for us, huh?" He makes another careful manouver as more shots come in. "Well, I assume we're not surrendering, but how do you want to do it from here. Try to make it to safety before the ship falls apart, or take as many with us as we can? Maybe Cassius can make it out." Kyle grabs the console as the ships rocks violently again. Kyle extends a hand to Eerin. "Either way, it was nice working with you. Sorry it didn't work out, you were a good friend."

Well, as to your first comment... that was pretty much the hint!

They call it Corellian Overdrive, Kyle; when you try and push that one extra mile.

One thing will get you out of this. Death dive. Spin out of control down to the planet. You might just lose the TIEs as they won;t engage with such insanity.

Trouble is... they don't call it a death dive for nothing.

(*Leans into the mic* Um, We'll take DEATH DIVE. That's our final answer.)

Just as Kyle finished his miniature speech to Eerin, he saw it, an opening. Without pausing to think about what he was doing. He jerked the controls hard over and tapped the reverse thrusters for a second, the full power the other way. The result spun them out of control, plummeting for the atmosphere. That should make the TIE's think he's finished. One miracle down, one or two more to go.

Ooh, death dive...

If we've already lost this, can I egg Vasilik on to stomp over the Imp general on his way to killing stuff? 😛

Seriously... maybe I should go to Drakkon and tell him it's too late, and we fight now...

Lost that particular situation, not the game! Don't throw it away for a laugh with Vasilik!

(OH! I was thinking that as well. Good. Bot we're not exactly sitting pretty either. Let's pull it together.)

I'll need Cass' reaction, as well.

Well I'm not hanging in there now...
I'll take, Run the hell away for 200 please...
Not exactly death dive,
But Chase works for me.

Back to the city?

Hell no...
Not playing THAT shit.
I'll take the Ties for a ride.
I'll go back to the jungle.

And heading where?

It came back to me!

Can Sasha convince Vasilik that she had challenged Vormax intentionally? He seems to think that Vormax had me beat up for fun...

"[It's been a good run, Captain, but I don't think we're done...]" Eerin replies. He reaches out to shake Kyle's hand...when suddenly Kyle has retracted the offer and thrown the ship into a death dive.

"[Oh, not again...]" Eerin says, snapping his hands to the controls and diverting all power he can to the engines and such to try and regain control, while aiding Kyle in the death dive.

(Tell us when we need to roll this...)

"Oh no you don't!" Scarlet says into the comm unit. "Land in the jungle and you'll keep your heads quite a bit longer than you think; if you set down in the City, the Empire will have yours heads served to the Commissar on a silver platter. I can almost guarantee that there will be stormtroopers waiting to escort you to the Deviator and then its airlocks, and you won't be wearing a vac-suit..."

You know, if you two DON'T make it... try to land on the good general there. 😛

Brit? That really should have been the first thing we thought of, huh? T_T;

Yeah. T_T But hey, I thought of it just now, good save, huh? ermm

Sure, after I gave away who Vasilik is. -_-

Ok, first off, Kyle, it is one fortune point you will have to spend every time your ship should be destroyed.

That is one you have to spend immediately, because the TIEs should destroy you befoere you get away.

It is another to stop your ship falling apart in a fast re-entry.

-

Scarlet- no, it's over. Done deal. They've landed there. This situation is already lost and you can no longer change it. I'm afraid this does blow your afternoon action; you kinda joined a sinking ship.

The Imperials won;t get the weapons, Drakkon is openly protecting them. They'd start a war with the Senate still there. The 'punishment' is that this flagrantly anti-Imperial act reduces Senate sympathy.

Same with you, Cass. You may as well land in the city now. Any plan for the jungle has been abandoned.

---

Ok, time to make your roll, Sasha, and it is a good one. He stops and thinks.

"None of us should have accepted that challenge!" he bellows.

Gooid job you did stop him; the Commissar just turned up for his meeting with the other Committee Senators.

Various Senatorial staff members are outside now, inviting the Imperials within. Someone should have done that ages back! Galahad really isn;t being wielded as he should be.

And talking of which, Andran's bit of help to you for the day is that he is about to protest the enforcment of the blockade. It was done illegally, though no-one apparently noticed.
