USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

I am. Do they have TIE fighters on their tails?

"[You think I'm missing on purpose?!]" Eerin shouts into the headset's comlink, firing on more incoming TIEs.

Scarlet, yup.

Scarlet brings the combat systems online.

Also, quick description of the Tip of the Lance:

It is torpedo shaped, with a pointed nose. Six guns total, all on the fuselage leading up to the nose, kinda in the style of an old WW2 plane maybe? Two large cylindrical engines on the sides, with three wings coming out at angles from each one, and four fins on the rear. Twin torpedo launchers on the underside of the nose.

Statwise, most likely very similiar to Cass's fighter.

"Well, sometimes I'm not sure about the Goenosian sense of humor..."

"[I'm sure my dad was joking when he shot at Jedi during the Clone Wars...]" Eerin replies, pumping off shot after shot after shot in rapid succession.

The Rebels ship seems a bit rudderless right now, and I am not sure if everyone has thought through the logic of sending in Scarlet there...

(The Imperials would have her identified, I should think...that could be disadvantageous...)

Or horribly bad.
Maybe we should err, not do that in any way shape or form?

There's a comeback on all this, you know. You've engaged Imperial forces. What excuses are you going to use?

(They started it?)

Job for Galahad, but yes they did, and not very well.

Scarlet flying over and attacking them is a different picture!

(I get it now. Scarlet, stay back and just help the smugglers come in when they get close.)

(Will do. Scarlet will wait until the freighters are well in the atmosphere and then escort them...on the off chance that the TIEs fire on me for flying them in, Scarlet will tell the freighters how to land and then peel off to blow up the TIEs...until then, I'm the sure the freighters have sufficient shields and also guns?)

Oh, those TIEs are going to follow. There won't ever really be a more legal time to attack them.

Hmm. Well, if Scarlet flies in and blows them away, that'll make it more difficult for Galahad to argue down the blockade...while if I don't, they'll shoot down the freighters and/or find out where the weapons will be landed?

What if Scarlet can guide the freighters into the trees then shoot down the TIEs out of sight in the jungle? Or have them crash into trees, etc...

Crashing into the trees and what not is fine. If you lose the TIEs in a chase, no worries. But launching am attack on them is different.

Losing TIEs in a chase it is!

The battle continues. Less heat this time, and another half dozen TIEs try to get by.

Cass rolls a five. Impressively, that is still a kill for him! Kyle's six is not, however; he only wings one. But Eerin's 17 takes one down on the defensive!

The mad fighting goes on. The Superior TIEs seem to be being better directed, taking chances to take more shots against Kyle.

Some very close shaves for Cass, but only one actual hit.

Kyle starts off well defensively, keeping things clear. But then a turn brings him out the wrong way. Two of the TIEs get direct strike runs on his rear quarter, and that is before the superior ones come in.

The Squadron leader tims the run of his Squadron perfectly. They hit the Last Laugh from the side uncovered by the turret, hit after hit going against your underside. The Squadron Leader himself rolls a 17.

Five more TIEs have gone by, and another squadron has joined the battle

Shields are down, kyle. The cockpit is exploding around you; control panels blasting their insides onto the floor. Eerin has lost power to the turrets, and you are far from safety.

I am afraid you stayed long past your welcome in this fight. You're not going to make this one.

Eerin smacks the controls as the turret's power goes out. He looks down the tunnel leading to the other turret and sees the flashes of light and sparks and smoke.

"[Uh, Captain?!]" Eerin shouts, hurling himself from the seat and heading the cockpit. "[We need to go! NOW!]"

(As copilot, are there rolls I can help with? And Kyle, we need to make this a chase...we're going to get blown out of the sky!)
