to Kyle: "I'm sure... Although the fect that they had no air cover intrigues me. And air raid might work well..."

"No, not tomorrow, no. Nine months!" declares Vasilik, happy as ever and totally missing anything in your question that might have indicated it was anything other than you genuinely asking that.

"Vasilik, is there any way we can get the Raptors to attack the Imperials when they're assaulting the city?" Rhys says firmly.

He already pretty much answered that- no.

"[Looks like we'll be causing more trouble in a different way]," Eerin says.

DAY 3

[i[Blockade is now effectively running without legal basis[/i]

With Vasilik's help, you camp out in a 'safe' part of the Jungle. He amuses himself killing some of the smaller (but still lethal) life forms.

We are at a crutch point here. For the first time the wind has blown a little your way lately. But there was no landing actvity going in that camp- which means the army is deployed. It's just waiting for the moment to move and that cannot be long, legal or otherwise. You will have to hit it fast.

Andran has been in all-night negotiations. This morning, he confides with Galahad that the question of new elections has been settled. The agreement will be finished by the end of the day.

Galahad is very glad to hear that news.

Will Galahad be able to contact Commodore Nidar to push against the presence of the blockade? Talking with Vader and Commissar Esgabath got me nowhere.

Sasha has a plan regarding hampering the Imperial army further.

1) How many AT-ATs does the Imperial Army at the landing site have?

2) We have enough explosives to level a building, right? How much of that would it take to blow off the leg of an AT-AT, should it step on it?

3) Would said explosives need a remote detonator that one of us would use to detonate it, or would an AT-AT stepping on it do the trick?

4) Would crippling an AT-AT delay the advance of the Army?

Meanwhile, Vasilik said he had more ideas.

Littering the area with land mines would be nifty as well. I think we got some of those? I think Andy has the inventory list...

Just a reminder of what we have to play around with...

Enough disruptor rifles for everyone in the group.

Some toys that make the same nouse as blaster rifles.

Enough explosive to level a large building, that can be divided up as needed.

A bunch of anti-personnel and anti-armour mines left over from the Clone Wars.

And enough Gungan weaponry to supply a company of troops- mostly hand or implement launced devices that cause an electrical discharge upon impact that makes them lethal toys. Maybe less stylish than standard weaponry but being from Naboo, your resident noble can get loads of them. Some of that stuff is mounted on small catapults, and are designed for use against armoured targets.

We want to make sure we make sure of these. The explosives and land mines will be greatly useful in hampering any advances the Imperials make on the City, to be sure.

And picking off soldiers from a distance with the sniper rifles might be good, as well as duping them into thinking that we've brought the battle to them in the Jungle with the blaster noise toys.

The land mines are useless. You don't know where to put them and in the jungle they'll just get triggered by the wildlife.

You could blow up an AT-AT with those explosives- if you got to one. Blowing up stuff won't do anything to slow the advance; it will merely denude them of units. There is a rough figure of 'several' AT-ATs per Star Destroyer.

But of course, any such action you take against the Imperial camp will precipitate the war.

Galahad- last time you contacted the task force the Commodore simply passed you onto the Commissar, saying that the legality of the blockade was a political matter.

Vasilik wants to rouse the wildlife against the Imperials again.

Rousing the wildlife sounds like a good plan...again...

The blaster toys might be nifty, as well, if anyone wants to use them. We could arrange them around the camp, then set them off so it sounds like there's gunfire coming from everywhere while we pick off different units with actual gunfire. Preferably our sniper rifles, from a distance.

I think that would be best only WHEN the Imps are going to war, not before.
We need as much time as possible.

Lets hear what Vassilik has to say...

Well, he reckons if you take a long drive around to one if the nearby great lakes, he might be able to rustle up a new plan. it will mean a lot of Skiff driving work though. Fancy and dangerous.

"I could do with some scenic lakeside death-defying stunts," Scarlet says. "Sounds like a job for our pilots."

(I'm currently picturing a less-gloomy Dagobah...)

Oh, I am SO down for some fancy flying...

Fancy flying over a lake sounds fun.

I'll hazard a guess right now that Vasilik's plan involves hungry beasts and us being bait.

(Count me in on fancy flying! Also, we might come up with a way to make the imperials think we're flanking them as they attack the walls. Split thrir attention before they concentrate on busting in.)

That would be useful with the toy guns, I think.

Vasilik's plan may possible involve that kind of thing, yes... which you suspect even more as he starts loading up your skiffs with great hunks of raptor carcass.
