Oh wow. We blundered big time...

Galahad listens to the declaration very gravely, knowing what it spells for the future of Lanzar City. Though it is not being announced, he feels as if Esgabath is staring at him and saying "I'm coming for you."

He shudders. "This is more unfortunate..."

Is Andran watching the declaration with us?

Frankly, no, contesting this one is not on the cards. Done deal.

Andran is still busy in session. Though... you can hear some angry shouting from in there and... oh yes, that's him bursting out now.

The rest of you are arriving back in the city at this point. Which is in a certain amount of disarray, as almost every single trader, smuggler and dealer is making their way to the starport.

Kyle watches the bustle of the city. He turns to the others. "Well, I suppose you don't ahve to be a smuggler to know something is about to go down, and soon. Maybe someone should try to reach the Senator, see what's happened while were were off playing in the woods."

Maybe we should confront Drakkon!

To do what?

Not exactly sure...
But yea...
I dunno, i feel the need to yell at someone about this.

Well, it's too late to take anyone to task about it now. It's all done with!

Yell at yourself, Galahad wasn't out in the city...

Galahad will approach Andran. "I take it you've heard."

"Of course I damn well heard. I thought you were here to stop this kind of thing?"

"I didn't know that they were trading raptor eggs!"

"Well, why didn't any of you find out?!"

Alright..
Well now we have to do somethign about this.
I say we talk to Drakkon, First get to the bottom of exactly what was happeneing, and then maybe try to salvage a bit of dignity out of it. Make them cooperate or something, maybe even use this as a distraction, so while they are off on this raptor egg bent, we can do something regarding teh invasion.
I know this nearly killed our senatorial mission stuff, but... Yea. lets not give up yet.

"I had my people up to that, but I don't think they pried hard enough," Galahad says. "What does this mean for the Senatorial mission?"

(Damn. I just realised. Eerin and I should have never left that cantina. For so many reasons. Crap. It's too bad we can't really take advantage of Melkor's english. If you read the 'proclamation' it says that craft are
'permitted from entering or leaving Lanzar'. But yeah, that'd be silly.

So, the blockade stays, and is legal. Oops, but let's move on, there is still plenty to worry about. As a team, we still need to further the plans for Lanzar's defence, and that business with the 'secret mission' I'm unclear how that's going. Is there anything else?
It might be too late, but it's clear the Imps are snooping around here. Should Eerin and I go back to trying to foil them?)

Galahad, you know full well that a. there will be no question of co-operation from the Imperial authorities, b. that they don't give a tiny toss about actually intercepting any eggs, this is just an excuse to lock down the planet, which indeed they have, and c. even if they exceed that which is strictly legal now in enforcing that blockade, the possibility that Lanzar was going to fill the Galaxy with its critters means the Senate will not vote against the mattter. People will be horrified! And the Empire looks very good, acting to stop such things.

Now every alien ship on Lanzar is leaving, and will have to pass through the blockade for inspection. It;s near chaos in the city.

"The Mission is all done," says Andran. "We've reached a final agreement. But so what? Now the Imperials have legal grounds to stay."

"But, with the Mission complete, the Imperials cannot advance on the City," Galahad says. "It would be a violation of the Mission. Let the Imperials stay as long as they like, it would still be completely illegal for them to demolish the City."

"One excuse," says Andran. "That's all they'll need. Furthermore I cannot help you any more. The flip side of completing the mission is that my purpose here is over. I am to report to the Senate."

Galahad sighs. "I understand. I will do my best to prevent this war that the Empire wishes to wage." He looks about. "Is Drakkon still in the meeting room?"

He is indeed.

Andran is putting together a broadcast of his own as the negotiations are concluded.

Galahad will be sure to listen for it. In the mean time, he will proceed into Drakkon's chambers to speak with him.
