The AT-ATs are a considerable threat and are probably the back-up plan if they simply can't drop the shield.
But AT-ATs are such big targets and squeezing them inside the smnall gap between shield and wall would leave even them vulnerable to you guys trying things. They are just too unwieldly to use in a confined space.
Indeed, you may now proceed. The independants are setting down in the jungle.
There is, right now, no fighter cover. Now, those fighters have got to be somewhere, but they are nowhere close so they can't get there that fast. That artillery is slow moving, though, and chances are that your biggest time limiter is how long before they get the rest of the fighters over.
That being the case, there are three units covering the artillery.
First is the Stormtroopers. But personal blaster fire is VERY ineffectual aginst ship shields, and stuff like the E-Web blasters are not designed for aerial targets. Not since the Clone Wars have troopers been rotuinely equipped with anti-air stuff.
Secondly is the AT-ATs. Their guns are very powerful and could damage you. But again, they are not designed for anti-airt use- they are slow tracking. If you actually atttack an AT-AT, you have to fly at it and it can get a bead on you. Other than that, their fire will be ineffectual.
This leaves the AT-STs, which they have moved up to cover the artillery. These have reasonably powerful guns and are fast tracking- and there are enough of them to cover all angles (except vertically above, but as you aren;t in atmospheric craft you are not built for dive-bombing, which would be more like dive-suiciding)
They will be your main threat. Not a great threat, but a torpedo run on the artillery (the most effective way to damage it) requires a straight run whilst you targeting computer locks on.
Strategically speaking, there are three units of artillery. Successful bomb runs will cause damage based on your payload rating. Enough such successful bomb runs will knock out one of those units, not only just for now but also for the main battle to come.
Alright, planning time.
Rhys and Scarlet have proton torp payloads. Cass does not. As Cass also has the best Pilot score, I think he should cause havoc with the AT-STs.
Rhys has Kyle manning his turret as well. Ush, is it possible for Kyle to target AT-STs from the turret while Rhys is in a straight run on artillery?
Cass can lead, covering us and shooting AT-STs, and Rhys and Scarlet can follow behind to make their runs.
