Can Kyle hit ground targets while not on a bomb run?

Scarlet will lock n' load for the bombing run, attacking the same artillery unit as Rhys.

"In we go," she says as she switches over the targeting computer's specifications for launching proton torpedos.

I'll just make a roll for Kyle's turret fire and judge the result on how good it is.

Well, I am saying that each artillery unit is covered by the equivalent of six skill seven AT-ATs, plus an additional skill seven unit representing the stormtroopers, which cannot reasomnably be destroyed.

The AT-STs get -2 firing on the Light Fighter, -1 firing on the fighter and no penalty firing on the trader. The Troopers get no penalty against anything.

Did you mean AT-ATs or AT-STs?

In any case, Scarlet will risk the chances of getting hit, unless Cass can improve the odds by taking out the AT-STs before we get there.

If I can fly in, and shoot at AT-ST's Then I'm all game.
Lets go light up some artillery..

Yes, I'd very much like it if Cass could lighten up those chicken walkers.

Going in on one of the artillery.

Rhys switches on the torpedo targeting computer. "Here we go, Kyle. Hold on, this might get rough." Then over the comm, "Let's get 'em, Scarlet!"

Let's just make things more clear.

Scarlet will drop down over Artillery Unit A.

"My pleasure," Scarlet responds to Rhys's message. "Follow me in on this first one, we should focus our efforts and knock them out, one by one!"

She locks on to Artillery Unit A and lets loose a volley, her sparkling red-pink torpedo streaking out ahead of her starfighter, towards the artillery pieces.

"Got it; I'm right behind you!"

Rhys comes in to follow Scarlet and watches as his computer's screen zeroes in on Artillery Unit A. The moment it confirms a lock-on, he fires his own torpedoes.

Lets then just go A, B, C.
Uh, I'm assuming we have enough payload and torps to do all three runs.

I'll fly ahead of the others and shoot at some chicken walkers.

Ok, though as basically, this turn, you are all attacking, you don't actully distract any fire if they chose not to.

And indeed, ALL the defending AT-STs are firing at Black Dawn. I'll give you +2 to your roll for an easy attack, Cass.

Cass rolls a 14; he needed a 2, so that is a pass by 12, with another two making it 14.

AT-STs fire. Some light damage there, Rhys.

Torpedo runs! Poor. Two and a four; no appreciable damage.

"Damn! It impacted on the surface," Scarlet says, thumping a hand against the targeting computer. "Go around for another run, Rhys! Cass, keep that up!"

Scarlet curves the Tip of the Lance around for another bombing run, attempting to lock on to Artillery Unit A again.

"You don't need to tell me twice!" Rhys yells back, jerking the Black Dawn in as tight a turn as the ship can manage, locking onto Artillery Unit A.

(So, after Rhys flies by his targets, do I get a shot at the AT-ST's when they're behind us?
P.S.-Scarlet? That was bad, real bad. Worse than my 1138 lines. All of them. But I still laughed.)

I will finish off that AT-ST

Ok, here goes...

First, Stefan blows apart one of those AT-ST units, and as these are not specific thing, I am going to carry the damge over to the next.

Enemy fire is ineffectual...

Torpedo runs roll 15 and 16! Direct hits! These artillery units have an effective armour of six from beinf scattered and not actually one unit. They can take twenty damage from payload. This makes Scarlet;s base damage four, and Rhys' six. Outcome counts for much less on bomb runs, though- a hit is fairly much a hit. Still, there is some difference, and final damage is 14!

Kyle- afraid not, it is a conceptual thing with him targetting the artillery.

He lines up a third run on Artillery Unit A.

"That's more like it! Keep it up, let's wipe out this first unit then get the next."
