USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

"This isn't going well," Scarlet mutters under her breath. "I should have been piloting, I really should have..."

Scarlet will continue to advance, opening fire on two stormtroopers.

Dodge if Janthis or Jaiden fire at me.

Eerin performs another snapped Quick Attack on a stormtrooper. If he can snap a Twin Attack, he will do that immediately after. If not, he will follow up with another snapped Quick Attack.

And Parry if any of the big names fire at me.

"Oh come on, where's the fun in that? Hanging out safe above all the real battle?"

Rhys fires at Jaiden twice as he advances through the melee.

Dodge if Jaiden or Janthis decide I look like a target.

Jaiden moves to board a skiff, under fire from Rhys. Rhys' light gun rolls well and he gets two hits in. Janthis is blasting away at a pilot of a skiff, though they are not moving fast enough to cause a crash that way now.

A skiff becomes overturned in the melee! The other two are disengaging.

At the wall, Eerin is still hacking away at stormtroopers.

Kyle- no cover I am afraid.

Kyle keeps firing at Ryis, this time landing two hits for a total of eleven damage. This puts the two of them equal on frames so now both fire. Kyle certainly gets the better of this round and his Gunslinger schtick is giving him the edge in the battle as a whole; he dodges Rylis' shot.

Arvus- snapping a bowcaster is still exceedingly inefficient. Still, you get a kill.

(Imperials in both fights- you won't drop an Osokan in one attack. Not even a lightsabre does that)

The Osokans halfway up the wall are dwindling; reinforcements at the top will come faster soon.

(Huzzah! Take that Bounty Hunter! hehe. Wash rinse repeat on my tactics, unless Rylis does something different. Looks like a race to the finish!)

Kyle keeps firing away with practiced precision at the annoying bounty hunter. "Get off my wall, Bounty Hunter!" He shouts antagonistically.

Rhys yells "Hah!" when he sees he's landed a solid hit, and fires at Jaiden again, still moving through the mass of white suits, ready to dodge if either of the commanders fire on him.

Are there Osokans on the skiff Jaiden is on? And is it possible to shoot it and make it explode?

Yes there are- that is why he boarded it- and no, not with a sidearm.

Would Scarlet be able to get aboard that skiff as well?

In any case, Scarlet pumps both her shots at Jaiden, intending to take him out quickly.

Shouldn't the Osokans be attacking the annoying little white thing on their skiff, then?

Well, yes! They will be. He's gone against them mano a mano. Say what you like, he's inspiring his men.

And a slight delay here due to an administrative error, in that I forgot to post this for the Imperials.

Ok, I am calling the ball on the skiff raid. A successful inspiration roll from Jaiden abord his skiff rallies his men who storm it on masse, and the other is chased out of there by Janthis' persistent firing. The disengagement is not, as some thought, in the direction of the artillery, as Janthis and Jaiden's tactic of standing firm has cost them dear in men but prevented penetration. It is a retreat. The fight could go on but there is no reasonable prospect now of reaching the guns, and Imperial reinforcements are starting to arrive. Scarlet and Rhys will have to hop on that last skiff and escape with it. The Osokan Warriors withdraw doggedly; purusit would leave the artillery open to a suicide strike so Janthis and Jaiden remain on guard.

That engagement is an Imperial victory.

At the wall, Rylis and Kyle are exchanging shots and dodges. Kyle is yelling something at you, Rylis, but it's hard to hear. Both of you are rolling at full capacity here- this turn we had an 18, a 19 and a 20 from the three shots fired. Again, Gunslinger is definitely giving Kyle the edge here.

Eerin fights on, decapitating more foes.

Time's nearly up on this fight.

Scarlet, despite knowing the retreat is necessary, continues to fire shot after shot at the solid white ranks of the Imperial stormtroopers when Jaiden and Janthis have passed out of range.

"I'll get them next time..." she snarls to Rhys. "Before this battle is over..."

"[Shoot her down, Kyle!]" Eerin cheers, focusing his efforts to wipe out the stormtroopers atop the wall as quickly as he can before more arrive. "[Blast her into oblivion!]"

Kyle grins at his friends remark, but does not divert any of his attention from the fight. This was certainlly one of the most dangerous fights he's fought, against probably his most dangerous opponent. Blasting and dodging, dueling a bounty hunter; all out in the open on top of a wall while a war rages on around him. Not the kind of fight he's used to, but he seems to be getting the hang of it pretty quickly.

(Double shot and dodge, same as always. Why mess with a good thing?)

Actually, Eerin will take a different tactic, as it seems that the Osokans up top are handling the stormtroopers quite well.

Eerin will move to the edge of the wall and arm his rocket launcher, firing down on the stormtroopers at the mid-wall.

Lana is currently off-line and a possible plan from her is something I have to wait for; I'll give it a day.

One thing I will mention about that, Eerin- it would make you a potential target to fire from the ground.

(Crap, I been waiting for Lana to figure something out. I figured it was a matter of time before she changed tactics. Eerin, maybe you should come help me out. I bet Lana just realised she can mop the floor with me in hand to hand combat. I could be wrong, just something to consider.)

I figure that means mostly Arvus and Lyle, but does that also include all the stormtroopers that are on the way up? Because that'd be a lot of shooters...

"I'll be next to you when that happens, with luck," says Rhys, a resigned look on his face as he glances back. "It's not over yet."

Oh, and Kyle. If Rylis tries to beat you down in close combat...I think I'm a bit superior there.
