Oh my...

Ok folks, turn 3 is starting. This is a tactical turn as well, so playyers, get geared up to fight...

Let's hear those orders, folks.

(Ready to rock!)

Orders being sent through.

Ok, looks like moves have been finalised; will process them later today.

Ready when you are! Hopefully we do better against TIEs than we did against stormtroopers, eh, Rhys? Hell, hopefully we do better against TIEs than we have been doing...

BATTLE OF LANZAR- TURN 3

The Imperials launch yet another attack on the South arm! The units and numbers involved are the same as previously.

Outside the west arm, the Imperials pull back their heavy units and replace them with troopers and speederbikes. These hefty troop movements in the midst of a nearby assault may come back to bite the Imps.

Inside the west arm, the attacking STs and troopers launch the first assault on the city centre! Fierce Osokan opposition is experienced.

To the North, the Trooper, bike and ST assault begins. The Osokans seem to have provided enough defenders to cover the north arm and this time the Imperials have nothing to breach the walls with...

And finally we have a clash in the air. The defending Rebel ships will take on the Fighters for the final showdown to see if the Imperials can take the benefit of air power for this fight.

Tactical players- all of you can heal ten damage. Rylis can remove another seven, Arvus the same, and Lyle 5; this can be from yourself or someone nearby. I am afraid the Rebels are not so fortunate with their medics.

Tactical situations coming soon but there have been some heavy player shifts for this turn- do all tactical players know where they are?

Good luck, tactical players. None of you have changed your positions since I arranged them last turn.

Cassius hurridly goes through his pre-flight checklist. He turns to his droid. "You ready buddy? Here we go again."

Seeing players' positions have altered heavily since last tactical turn I'd feel better if characters confirmed that they know where they are.

Rhys is in the Black Dawn, above the city.

(Alk, why don't you set the scene for all the tactical players, just in casse someone (read: me) has missed something.)

Eerin is in the South, with Kyle, as before.

The Duchess has been stationed at Center, with her bodyguard.

(Ok, I'm straight. South Wall w/ Eerin. Ready to rock.)

Likewise. Hopefully we'll be more successful this time, rather than a draw. Still, a draw against those odds is pretty impressive, I think?

I'd say so. I did terribly.

I really should have been piloting while Rhys took the gun...

TACTICAL SITUATIONS

-----

South Wall- Third Assault

(Affecting two battles fought at 3:2 in Imperial favour)

At the South, the situation remains exactly the same. Every time the Imperials get a foothold on the walls, they cannot hold it.

Now Coll sends forward a hand-picked Commander to lead the latest assault...

-----

North Wall- Engineering Works

(Affecting two battles being fought at evens

The attack on the North Wall begins.

One critical factor here is that the Imperials lack big guns capable of taking down the walls. A Veteran Commander has been tasked, alongside his men, with getting to the basel of the walls and laying explosive charges to try and create small breaches that could be climbed...

City Centre- Street Fight

Affecting a battle being fought at 2:3 in Rebel favour

Inside the city proper the Imperials launch an immediate assault on the City Centre. As well as the organised military opposition the Imperials are slowed by civilian resistance.

The deployment of armoured AT-STs- which cannot be brought down by whips or knives- is intended to counter this. But then new reports start to come though which send a shockwave through the assault- the defenders are deploying weapons capable of destroying the AT-STs!

The nature of these weapons is not clearly reported. Soon, a strike is made at the point of the city where the AT-STs are being ambushed in an attempt to clear the weapons. Personalities from both sides find themselves in the engagement, as for both sides this is the cirtical point; the Rebels must hold the weapons in order to maintain their advantage in the fight, whilst the Imperials must clear them to be able to get through to their target.

-----

Air Fight

And finally, a straight, no holds barred, no complications fight between the remaining Rebel vessels and the available Imperial fighters. The fight is between fighters only. If the Imperials win, their bombers will start to give them further edges in the fight. if the Rebels win, Imperial air power will play no further part in the fighting.

Kyle watches from his vantage point atop the wall. Firing at any stormtrooper who gets in range, he constantly scans the fray for another sign or Rylis. Certainly she or the Assassin want another crack at he and Eerin.
(Shoot stormies, dodge if Named foes attack.)

Scarlet remains strapped into the gun turret at the rear of Rhys's freighter.

"Let's hope this thing holds together," Scarlet says, looking over the seemingly ancient controls, her hands glued to the triggers "And jeez, would it hurt you to re-label things down here? You're lucky I can read a little Arnian..."
