(Evacuate, sitting around gets us captured or killed. We can't stay in the city, but somehow we have to get our ships out. Sadly, I figure that the Last Laugh won't be one of them after all, unless there is some kind of Senatorial Protection on it, which I doubt. It'd be nice to get Drakkon to come with us, but I think you'd sooner see a Wookie shaving. And yet again, I think it's time to snatch the record, if we can. I can see that being the only possible positive outcome at this point.)

"[Kyle]," Eerin says, as he watches the burning city from the Guild Hall. "[I want to finish Rylis. You know she'll be coming here. If we can kill her and slip out, this would all be worth it.]"

He clutches his halberd tightly.

Galahad will be leaving shortly, but imparts knowledge of the Record of Kileen to Scarlet and Scarlet alone, then wants to share one last conversation with Drakkon before taking his leave of the doomed capitol building.

-

Galahad catches Scarlet in the halls of the Guild Hall amongst the bustle of activity as the Osokans prepare for the end.

"Scarlet," he says, under his breath, somewhat strained. "I was tasked with a secret mission when this all started. The Rebellion asked me to obtain the Record of Kileen, a document that is almost as old as the Osokan race itself. It is their most prized history, recording all hunts since the forming of the Lodges themselves. We must obtain it, but the Guildmaster will not part with it. It will remain with the Osokan people or it will burn with the rest of the archives. You are our most intrusive person here; you must retrieve it from the records in the Guild Hall basement. Now go!"

He pushes her away, and continues to the Guildmaster's war room.

-

Galahad watches sadly as the City burns. He feels personally guilty for what has happened; his goal to save the City has been foiled, and now he is using deceitful means to obtain his other objective.

"I am sorry we couldn't save your City, Guildmaster," Galahad says to Drakkon, when he gets the opportunity. "The Force knows we tried, but for all the strength and durability of the Osokan race, it seems that the Imperial war machine has them beat in sheer power."

Galahad seats himself. "It's genocide. It's bloody genocide!"

Looks like Scarlet is off to the records, Ush.

"I feel for you, Eerin, but don't do anything rash. If you get a guaranteed chance, go for it, but our top priority is escaping with our lives, and preferably unnoticed. I've got a bounty on my head from Jabba, I don't need another from the Empire."

Cassius knows defeat when he sees it, Retreat and fight again. That is the only option.
He strides the halls of the Guild, passing the sights of a burning city. He happens upon Kyle and the group, engaged in discussion.

"We must retreat. It is our only option and although our honor has been smeared, we must survive to reclaim ourselves. The fight goes on."

"Eerin, you know more than anyone how much I want Rylis, but (and I hate to say this) I agree with Flyboy. Let's go while the going's good and live to fight another day." Knowing his words disappoint his friend, kyle adds, "But, we're not out of this yet. Rylis and her cronies will probably still be after us, we may get our chance whether we like it or not. I just don't think we need to doom ouselves on another suicide mission just yet, old Buddy."

Your ships are fine; shot down ships are less fine but the wrecks have been attached to Galahad's ship, which is currently sitting in the starport.

Is Scarlet going alone?

-

"It's war, Senator, that is all it is," says Drakkon. "I am leaving to defend my city. Good day."

Yes. She's the only one with Intrusion.

"May the Force be with you, Guildmaster Drakkon," Galahad says, somewhat put off that the Osokan does not wish to talk more before they part ways forever. "You are a strong leader and a fierce warrior; give them hell."

Galahad watches the Guildmaster go.

I had an idea.

Since Scarlet is sneaky but not spectacularly so, could she have someone distract the guards with simple conversation? I'd leave it up to Rhys, personally, since we were a dynamic duo during most of the battle.

"[We should at least help defend the Guild Hall!]," Eerin clicks rapidly. "[We owe it to them after we failed to save them! We can get out of here once the odds become too uneven.]"

What's the East looking like, right now? I understand that the Empire hasn't attacked it at all...

"The odds are already uneven!" Rhys argues. "It's us against an army! I want to help - I really do - but staying here will only lead to our deaths!"

If I can distract the guards, sure, but I think Scarlet will have to come and get Rhys herself.

Imperial troops are moving in towards the Guild Hall. Sneaking is not going to be the problem.

The East is clear. Eerin- Drakkon will take that offer in theory, though he's not going to defend the Guild Hall itself.

"Eerin, I'm with Rhys. I feel terrible that we failed to help these people. But we need to look at a bigger picture. The Rebellion gains nothing making a stand now. We live, and we can learn from the mistakes we made and defeat the Empire next time, over and over, until we win. I know we're all prepared to die trying, but making a stand here wins nothing, for ourselves or the Osokans. It's time to go."

Eerin falls quietly, simply nodding.

"[To the Last Laugh, then]," Eerin sighs.

"There is something we need to do, before we leave," Galahad says. "One last act of defiance against the Empire. The explosives at the starport did not go off as planned, and I've no doubts that General Coll is pleased about that."

So the Archives are left unattended, then?

Scarlet will still be especially cautious; she doesn't want to be caught by the side she is aiding, as I doubt they will find this supportive.

How close are the stormtroopers?

Well, 'unattended' may deceive, but this whole area is rapidly becoming the middle of a warzone. Explosions are going off all around and troopers are moving in.

Drakkon is leaving now- he wants to know if you are coming, Eerin.

Eerin glances back at his Rebel friends, then back to Drakkon. The offer is just too tempting.

"[I am coming]," Eerin tells him, firmly. "[I can meet up with the others later.]"
