USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

Hmm.

What has become of the mines, Ush?

I vote to save strength. Tactically we can't really change the battle that much, and I bet we can expect the following action scenes to be dangerous.

All the mines and explosiveshave been used.

Agreed. We're going to need to be at (almost) full capacity to take on the overwhelming numbers...

Alright. I knew about the explosives, but not the mines.

Has the starport been blown, yet?

That didn't seem to go as planned.

How so? Does the Empire have control of the starport?

Well, it didn't blow up.

Galahad will ask Drakkon about that, then, before I jump to hasty conclusions.

It was in the South Arm, wasn't it?

Yes, and he has no idea.

Not any real way to find out, here, other than to send people to find out...which would be bad at the moment, as the square is flooded with Imperial forces.

Unless Cass could make a fly-by check on things, or we have some means of getting our players in and out quickly, we should wait on that.

Cass taking off with a magic carpet, I assume?

The strategic result for the centre is a Firefight. One unit of Warriors, a West Arm trooper unit and a South Arm ST are hit, the first and last being therefore destroyed.

Imperials can move into the North then we can see what the situation is for the turn after.

I have to say, that's not entirely good...

Imperial troopers and AT-STs advance into the North sector as speeder bikes plug the gap to the south (though it is unclear why they did not just advance more toopers in).

The Centre is now opposed on three sides with final odds of 2:1. The odds of the Rebels pulling off a decent result here are now so low as to not make a tactical fight worth it. For the defenders, the situation is hopeless.

Imperial victory comes after ten hours of fighting. Now all that remains is to see the results.

We tried and failed at victory, but we can still take quite a few of them with us...

(Well, like Alk said, it wasn't because we didn't try. We fought hard at every turn, it's just we had more 'oops's than the Imps did. Good effort all, now let's see what we can do with this action scene Ush talked about. Maybe we can pull some sort of positive result out of it.)

Maybe we can bolt and take a star destroyer out on our way up?

...I honestly think we should try our hand at the sneak attack on the General. Those with good Savoir-Faire can suit up as stormtroopers and "present" those without as Rebel prisoners.

Our best people with Savoir-Faire are Kyle, Sasha, and Rhys.

If the issue of Sasha's voice comes into question, could Scarlet tinker with the helmet's speaker to make her sound manly?

Oh, not a chance of getitng the General now. That could only happen during the battle itself. Now it is the aftermath.

You are all in the Guild Hall. Aroun you, the city- made mostly of wood, after all- burns merrily. The background is a cacophony of gunfire, screams, fire and the bombardment now concentrated on this area.

The Guild Hall is now being evacuated; Drakkon is giving the final orders to his staff.

Nothing to be gained sitting around here, for sure. So what are your plans?
