USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

Started by Ushgarak280 pages

Ah, I fear I failed to put you on 60 there, Cass. Sorry.

Kyle was amused at the Imperial tactics, but worried for Eerin. "Get out of there buddy! Let the Imps do your work for you now!" He continues firing at Rylis.

(Double shot on Rylis, dodge Imp player attacks.)

Ah, missed that. Grr...Kyle, give Lyle something to think about, will ya? Rhys and Cass can take down Rylis pretty quick...

Eerin, roused to a berserker fury, does not heed Kyle's words as he charges into the stormtrooper lines. Eerin advances on Jaiden, slashing down stormtroopers with Quick Attacks as he goes.

Dodge one incoming attack.

The Record of Kileen is almost as old as the civilization itself, so let's head for a part of the Hall that looks as if its been around almost as long as that...

I don't know if we're waiting on anything or if it was missed, but I thought I'd just put that back in view...

"That's strange," Sasha comments. "The stormtroopers haven't followed us down."

Galahad will keep trying to contact Sasha or Scarlet until they are able to hear that their comlinks are going off.

Yes indeed. Time is passing as Scarlet searches and still no-one comes,. With no bombardment, it is pretty quiet.

-

Scarlet... you're boned.

You've found it, in the oldest part, a great wooden section deep down.

Now you think about it, this should have been obvious. The record is... pretty big.

It is about the size of three industrial photocopiers side by side. it looks like something out of Victorian times, consisting of a large number of metal rollers. Wrapped around these rollers is a golden metallic kind of sheet. Etched onto the metal sheet is writing in Osokan;; by rolling the rollers you can see different parts of it.

Scarlet slouches once she realizes that the Record of Kileen is enormous. She smacks her forehead, then contacts Galahad.

"Senator, we have a problem. You should have sent us to look at this thing earlier, when we had time for it. It's ENORMOUS. I don't even think Drakkon himself could move this thing. I can look at it, but honestly? I don't think Sasha or myself can translate..."

Scarlet will roll through it as she speaks, trying to decipher some of the Osokan writing (but likely fails because she only has a Language score of 10).

Errr... geez... this is pretty obscure stuff... and you could be ages trying to translate the lot.

Some of the names are in different format but there's an entire history worth of stuff here!

Also, something is odd. One part of it... closer to one end of the reel... is not in gold, but black.

Scarlet will roll through to expose more of the black writing, eyeing it curiously.

Is there any chance that Scarlet would try copying down the information? Or create a hologram of the writing in some way? She has a high Fix-It score.

Do you have a utility belt?

If you mean the Device? No. If you mean for looks? Of course.

The Device, I am afraid, in which case you could certainly have recorded the contents.

Handwriting it would take many hours and as much paper as there is scroll.

Well, I can only think of two solutions at this point:

1) Get Galahad in here, have him work on translating the black writing, and have him commit it to memory.

or...

2) Remove the section with the black writing...

Unless Ranad has a utility belt...

Nope.

You have no guarantee the black section is the right bit, btw.

That is true...

Scarlet will message Galahad, asking what she is looking for, exactly.

She will also try to see if she can spot any names in the writing.

Nah, most of them are in Osokan, it's only really obscure names that are otherwise.

Well, Galahad, you know the news but you cannot help.

It seems we will have to tear the record.

Galahad will ask if Scarlet can identify the Osokan word for "Jedi," and ask if there is any way to discern years on there.

Nope, she would not know where to begin, really.

Arvus, using a stimpack (best used at the start of combat, those) is backing away from the fight and using his pisoned dart gun on Drakkon, but a 5 rolled is no good.

However, his newly acquired high soeed and instructions to back away do do him some favours- Eerin is making straight for him but falls short this round as Arvus moves away. Eerin dispatches a blocking trooper instead.

Jaiden has now stepped in your way, Eerin. he is trying to rally troops but without much luck.

Rylis (who has not posted an action) is under fire from Cass and Kyle, not looking good there.

Rhys goes for Arvus, neatly dodged.

Meanwhile, Coll is still bringing in troops. That does not seem to avail him much; this turn the Hunters drive a path through the troops surrounding Coll leaving a clear path for Drakkon.

STs are moving in on the periphery; they will arrive around frame 80.
