"No, they aren't," says Andran.

-

It's ok, Cass, they believe you, they were just worried.

-

"I don't intend to store them," says Drakkon. "I intend to distribute them to the citizenry as soon as possible."

Sasha nods.

"How do you intend to train them?"

"Hah! Where have they gone?"

"There's no time to train them," says Drakkon. "They are to be a militia, not an elite army. It's the best that can be done."

-

"Oh, I asked the others to refer the current situations to their respective homeworlds. They are on their ships in the starport. Esgabath and friends probably walked right past them. The Imperials are most likely keeping watch on the starport, of course, but also most likely too distracted by those freighters."

Galahad chuckles a bit.

"Well, I pity them somewhat, but I think the Imperials should be able to find them eventually...on their own..."

"Oh, of course. Besides, they'll all come back here soon enough. Delaying is all I can do, Senator. Delay until the mission is complete. If you want anything else to happen, you'll have to see to it."

"Delaying works just fine, my friend," Galahad says, with a satisfied smile. "Misleading even more so, but I would not wish for you to take that risk. That I can handle."

"I see. Well, your people have a natural aptitude for combat. I am sure they will be a fine militia. How do you plan to distribute the...rifles, I suppose?"

I'll ask if anyone knows where I can get some more info on Imp related activities...

"They will go out to anyone who wants one. Why are you concering yourself with such things?"

-

Why would anyone know anything about Imperial activities? When those ships arrived, they were the first Imperials to set foot here in some two decades.

"I feel we should know. I understand your misgivings at me feeling that we should have been informed ahead of time, but now I just want to be sure of what it is you plan to do. I apologize if I seem nosey."

"Then are you now happy?" asks Drakkon.

"I am. Thank you, Guildmaster," Sasha says with a respectful curtsy. "Oh, do you plan on meeting the Commissar? Or shall you just let him wander around your grounds until he gets bored and leaves?" She flashes a smile.

Do you have Law, Sasha?

Yes, at a skill of 10, why?

Then you aren't even slightly happy.

Ok, fine, owning guns isn't automatically illegal, but arms importing on a massive scale between interstellar borders is hardly something that is not subject to regulation! Especially under the emergency laws that still date from the Clone Wars, when they were interested in stopping the Confederation arms supply.

Not to mention the fact that this shipment comes from HUTT SPACE. The smallest problem there is that it's almost certainly avoided tax, the largest problem is that the Hutts are a bunch of gangsters; everything they touch is illegal! Those weapons are hotter than a Belseraphon sundive.

And just to finish off the list... think about Osokans. Think about what they are like, their temperament. Then think about what happens if you start issuing thousands of them with guns they have never used before, whilst lots of Imperials are hanging around the planet threatening to invade. What is the outcome going to be?

That would openly give the Imps a reason to invade; the Osokans suddenly forming a militia (However crude that may be) and gaining such an influx of weaponry...

If i were an imp then I'd say that would imply outside help that knows of their current situation, angering me to want to silence the inhabitants quickly and find out how they were strengthened as such. Besides if the Osokans begin to patrol the city armed by the thousands with weaponry thus previosly unavaliable then they would surely send the Imperials (myself in this pretence) absolutely barking mad to resolve the sudden militarialistic attitude that the Empire has spent so long a many year to crush such tendancies.

Isn't it true that they wished to be the only power with an armed force of anykind, the Emperor thinks as much and declares martial law or worse upon any planetship as such.

Overall the Osokans wouldn't be able the easily hide the presence of such armaments as they are hunters that traditionally use more simpler methods for their prey, am i right?

((Just as a last second SPAM kind-of-thing...))

It's my eighteenth Birthday tomorrow; Hoorah!!! Legally 'Of-Age' time!!!

((Here in australia I'm now 18...
So proud...))
((Sorry for spamming, never again or at least until I'm 21! 😄))

My final question was less about direct legality, more about what the simple practical outcome would be.

Happy birthday, by the way!

I'll get all into this thread again tomorrow after my b-days through, thanks Ush! Good-night mate!
