maybe we should focus on the sabotage thing a bit more

Sabotage would be more along the lines of doing something to the moter so it wouldn't work...

But Communications. This should be a big thing, because if they can't talk to each other, then it doesn't matter how many people they have.

take out their 'sattelite uplink' from the planet to their fleet and so forth

(Yeah, sabotage as in remove important pieces that are not easily noticed as missing. Like removing spark plugs from a car engine and putting the wire back in place. That takes people of average mechanical skill ages to figure out. Also things that even though are easy to figure out but take long to fix. Like pouring sugar in a gas tank. Those are real-world examples, but I bet a good fix-it roll would let someone know how to wreck an AT-AT or speeder bike. I also have fit-it of 11, so if I run across anything carelessly parked outside a cantina, I can fiddle with it. I imagine the same for Rhys, and U'ya if she wants to work with us.

Since none of the smugglers have intrusion, I think we should just find out where the Imps spend their off duty time, then get them drunk, pump them for info, and then screw up their equipment. There's enough of us that all of this can go on at once, if we're careful. And if we mess it up at all (Highly possible, eventually) Frank and Eerin can just start bashing heads.)

Crappy sabotage like that can be un-done with a good Fix-It roll as well, which the Imperials have available. I know the sides are uneven but the Rebels really should consider military options.

What makes you think the Imps have any off-duty time? After all, there aren't any on Lanzar yet, and when there are they won't be being friendly.

(the big problem will be that Frank... has a tendency to slaughter stormtroopers. He likes to bite their throats out and then hurl the head and body at two separate people. So... if things get to a fight, it won't be a subtle, blaster-fire-under-the-table kind of fight, especially with Frank in the mix... Of course, his Empire-issued armor and weapons and a few of his tattoos make him look like an imperial soldier, or at least a former one, so he might be a bit more useful than just slaughtering people en-masse.

Also, why screw up their equipment when we can steal it and trade it? Or use it, in some cases? I mean, what kind of a fix-it roll would be required to convert three suits of stormtrooper armor into, say, one suit of hi-tech armor? Why disable the AT-AT when we can set it to detonate when reactivated? Merely disabling it does nothing but put a bit more time and money on the expense lists of the Empire: blowing it up would put a HUGE bill in, as well as a crater and, probably, several casualties. Plus we'd get to blow up an AT-AT.)

can't we just use some explosives and just bomb a few things, Jabba and the others seemed to be scared as hell of those Thermal Detonators. Just using grenades and explosives I think we could create some havoc

Ah well, here we come to the crutch point- because you have no such resources for serious sabtotage.

That kind of think takes time you won't really have, Thraxis.

so if we would want to do serious damage we should attack (I'm not suggesting this guys I'm only asking)

Well, in that situation you have... your handguns.

k so no attacking them with two spacefighters (NUTS) 😛

Hmm Handguns are not gonna do much damage. C'mon guys help me to think.

Your spacecraft do count as weapons! Some intelligent use of them would be required, of course, but we can count them as a resource you have.

aaah k well then we might be able to dash out some damage.

That resource list does look rather short.

yea except for Spaceships I think we have like 5 or so

Yup!

...

The Imperials have slightly more...

Well we have massive amounts of dumb luck...
Which can buy us.....
Jack shit.

Thats our weakness. So we stay away from that.
It seems that this is going to be a battle of the words for us, and I think the Imps are going to try (if they are smart, and judging by the Darkies track record...) to play off their massive amount of equpiment and stuff as their advantage. We need to support the senators. Give them leverage, information, Dirt on the Imps. Anything we can get to make their life easier. We need to keep them delayed, and in a talking battle because THAT is where we can gain ground.

That's all very well but it won't slow an Imperial army walking through the jungle; the active player's orders are to stop that force in any way possible.

Since the Duchess has an absurd amount of wealth, would it be possible for her to somehow obtain things like thermal detonators and trip bombs and so on? For us to put in the jungle in the path of the war machine?

We need to come up with a way to stop them before they begin their assault. The odds are pretty grim.

Yup, you could use that to buy significany amounts of supplies.
