Well then, Karn will sneak closer, possibly to any windows he could look through.

That will be another intrusion roll at higher difficulty, ok?

-

The General is in his command tent awaiting your report, Janthis.

Arvus does not have a Utility Belt himself, but Commander Jaiden does, and he's in the city. Perhaps Arvus could meet up with him to borrow some tracking devices before pursuing his look about the starport.

Rylis has that as well.

I'm okay with that.

Ok! Let's get all this back on track!

You are up to the warehouse side, Karn. They are not opening the crates, it seems, just storing them here. They don't seem particularly alert for trouble.

-

Rylis, you are observing a different convoy, but from a greater distance. Seems they are all done unloading. Something odd, though- the crates on some of this convoy were different from the others.

-

"Commander?" asks General Lomax, with raised eyebrow.

-

Lyle, you have been contacted by the Commodre, which surprises you. He wants a situation update on the matter you have been pursuing.

-

Arvus, from your initial investigations, you do discover one thing that looks odd. An independant vessel- presumably a trader- just took off. But there is no sign that anything was loaded onto the ship first. Odd to leave empty handed.

Am I only technically meant to report to the Commissar?

Curious. Arvus will look in on that docking bay that it just left from, see who the ship belongs to.

You aren't really a military officer, Lyle, but then the Empire is not really a Democracy. The Commodore has a right to ask.

Hard to actually just make that connection, Arvus. Not like the ship left a forwarding address behind.

"You look a little surprised Sir," Janthis replies.

"I have come to make my report Sir"

How many crates can Karn see that are unloaded and how many are still in the convoy (at least an estimate)?

Different? How, exactly...size, markings, stuff like that?

And about how many are there on estimate?

Different in style- clearly coming from an entirely different batch. A few dozen, you would say.

And they are all unloaded, Karn.

-

"Well then?" says Lomax. "Make it!"

General Coll, your assessment of the tactical situation continues with a Warfare roll I have made on your behalf.

The Imperial Army is not famed for its bombardment tactics. But long range weaponry was a staple of the Clone Wars and equipment remains in your Division. You do have access to several powerful units of artillery.

"Yes Sir, I wish to report that the missing men had been killed by wild life as stated in my original report. That we were ambushed by Raptors sir and that I have lost in total 83 men today sir."

"83 men, Commander? How do you explain these exceedingly high losses under your command? Are your skills not sufficient to take on even primitve wildlife?"

"Sir I would like to state that these "primitive wildlife" sir are alot more than that. these Raptors were fast strong and extremely durable. They also showed semi strategic abilities and communications. Mostly of the ability to regroup and and attack in a deliberate attack. Sir I think that this could have been classified as a sucicide mission sir."

"Are you blaming ME for the loss of your men, Commander?"

"Sir I'm saying that we were ill-prepared to enter either through a lack of knowledge or lack of not giving information needed. Each of which could have been beyond your control Sir"

"Then you accuse either the Commodore or the Commissar!"
