"So what your saying is that there was information on this but you chose to send us in without that is what I'm getting from your comment because I in no way accused them of anything?"

Janthis will make in Observation Roll on his response. trying to get a feeling for how he feels and whether or not he is hiding anything.

(Lomax is a pipsqueak, that's why I didn't let him take control of the march on Lanzar City...)

So...long-range artillery units could be set up outside the wall, within the shield, that could damage or take out the shield generator and all the AT-ATs to take down the wall and give my men access to the city. Sounds quite deliciously explosive...

You don't need an Observation roll to know that attacking a General is a baaaaaaaaad idea, Janthis! Try again.

You reckon it could be possible, Coll. If you could keep the artillery units safe for long enough.

(I'm attackcking him I'm asking a simple question. My men were sent in to a forest Janthis is filling his obligation to his men making sure that every step was taken and all info was given to him. He isn't blaming Lomax just making sure he isn't hiding anything and that is what Janthis got from his remark)

Ok, put it this way.

Rex, how would you feel if a Stormtrooper Commander came up to you and said that you caused the death of his men by deliberately withholding information? Remembering that this is the Imperial Army.

Ok then.

Janthis replies to his question, "I'm sorry sir I'm not blaming you or anyone. I believe if we had the information you would have given it to me and so would have any higher ups. It's just that I lost a lot of good men anyways do I have any new orders awaiting me Sir?"

(Hmm, good point. Coll is a lot more passive towards his own soldiers, must be said. But I see your point.)

Keep the artillery safe from what, the Osokans? They can fire down from atop the walls, yes?

Yup. Or they might come out and make an issue of it- they could fight within the shield.

And you are suspicious about Rebels, of course.

-

"And who do you think could have provided the information, Commander?" asks Lomax.

Then Lyle will make his report. Do I have to return to orbit to do that?

"Ah, sir, our time has been taken up investigating a ship that recently landed. We believed it to be carrying contraband, originally of unknown composition, and as such worthy of looking in to. Through some intensive surveillance I have discovered that they were carrying personal weaponry - that I believe originated from the Hutts. Two of my colleagues are currently locating the storage facilities for the weapons."

That'll be his basic report.

"Sir like I said no one is to blame we were simply caught unaware and if need be I will accept responsibilty for this as my fault."

That is the basic kind of info I assumed you made plain when you first checked at the ships to translate the logs.

What they are asking now is if you have found anything more.

-

"I see, Commander. Well... it so happens that quite a number of these 'unavoidable' losses have occurred. You are the only Commander to return alive so far. Why is this?"

(points to Janthis's signature)

Yes, the Rebels. I'm guessing they'll be packing more than the average blaster.

Can heavy weapons units keep the Osokans off the top of the walls?

Frankly, Rebels rarely pack much more than the average blaster. Pitiful bunch.

Feasilby they could, but within the shield it will be hard to have enough to cover all of the walls at the same time. Vagueries of battle, that.

I don't think I have, really, have I? The presence of suspected rebels, but that's it. Speculation that Drakkon is preparing military resistance, things like that.

Indeed not. You are surprised they are asking.

Then I will apologise, but decline to report, saying that we are in the midst of a delicate operation.

Now I'm going to have to start doing something.

(Vader getting angsty, perhaps?)

The Commodore makes it an order.

So in order to keep my men from being slaughtered as soon as they set up their artillery, they need to hit the shield generator as fast as possible.

Is there any kind of shielding we could provide the stormtroopers with? Some sort of portable cover?

"My men followed my orders and we didn't loose our calm in battle sir."
