"I think I am confident that whoever is in charge of the march will deal with them," says Atar.

-

Vader strides fully into the room straight past you all, and then turns around to face you again.

(breathing noise)

Why was aerial observation of the cargo convoys stopped?

Coll chuckles. "And that would be me..."

Coll looks to Janthis. "What do you suppose would be the best strategy for keeping the creatures from attacking our men?"

"I did not think that the droid would be of further use," Arvus says, standing. "The convoy had halted."

Janthis will think back to any info he can recall on the matter that could help him think of a way to deal with them Ush

Lots and lots and lots of small arms fire. They are too fast for the heavy weaponry that the Empire tends to favour to be any use.

---

And so we play the "Vader's Gaze of Death" game! Who is the person in the room right now that Vader is currently the most pissed with? At the end of the scene, whoever his gaze is focussing on is in a teensy bit of trouble. The only way to get rid of the gaze of death? Make him more angry with someone else!

Gaze of Death is currently on Arvus.

You are a fool. By failing to observe all of those weapons, you have allowed the Rebels to outwit you. Or perhaps, says Vader, taking a step towards you, that is how you wanted it to happen?

Ahhhhhh! Gaze of Death! Class idea, Ush.

Of course, if you want to take a risk to pre-empt any possible moves of the Gaze towards you, feel free.

"Basically all you can do is use tons of small arms fire they are to fast for any of the big weapons we have," Janthis says

"So we'll just have to shoot the bastards down and make sure the troopers have enough ammunition..." Coll sighs. "Are they afraid of anything?"

"Not at all, my Lord," Arvus says. "I know your temper, I would not intentionally risk death by your hand. I wouldn't be able to use my Imperial holiday bonus, would I? In addition, I was at the time trying expose a suspected Rebel, a member of the convoy we'd been monitoring..."

Arvus glances sideways at Lyle.

"Besides, I had no idea they were weapons. Lyle just told me before you entered the room..."

"Not that I saw sir, they did not seem to show any fear of attacking the men even when under fire."

You did not know the importance of what you were following?

Gaze is now on Lyle

Why was this?

-

"A Star Destroyer perhaps, then," says Atar. "What about razing the jungle? It would slow the advance, as we burn our way through, but it would remove the problem."

"Not a bad idea," Coll says. "The Senate would have a fit about breaking laws on conservation, but who gives a damn. The political situation is not our concern. Blazing a path through the jungle by orbital bombardment would work beautifully."

You'd consider that risky, Janthis. It is alright for Atar- he doesn't have to slog it through a bombarded landscape with an enormous forest fire around him. It's youy that would have to live with it.

We could wait for the fire to die down...?

Time is your enemy.

Well, stormtrooper uniforms should be able to resist the fire.

What would be required for that? Rolls? AT-ATs trampling on the fire? Imperial fire extinguishers?

A rampaging forest fire takes more than robust uniforms to march through! No-one will be able to see, everyone will be being boiled to death inside their suits, the noise would be incredible...

You have plenty of tech to deal with it- it just all takes time!

Well, AT-ATs trampling on parts of the fire could be useful.

What kind of tech do we have? I remember there being those fire control ships from Coruscant in Revenge of the Sith, could we possibly get a hold of something like that, or do we already?

Sadly, those are civilian ships, and you didn't think it was worth bringing anything like that.

And yes, a solution, but not a timely one. Short of it is, burning the Jungle will double the travel time, which is currently estimated at one day.
