USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Good idea.

Whilst all this is going on- military bods, what tactical and/or strategic orders are now being issued?

Just a moment, let me think things through.

Here's how the attack plan is looking at the moment (if things run smoothly):

The Deviator or another Star Destroyer obliterates the forest in a direct line from the clearing where the army has gathered to Lanzar City. Then, the two day march will proceed through the incinerated forest.

Once the troops arrive at the city, they will organize into four groups that will ambush the city from North, East, South, and West. The artillery groups will set up within the shield, escorted by a sizeable amount of stormtroopers to either kill off the Osokans or replace fallen artillery units (if possible).

Once the shield is down, the AT-ATs will blow down the gates and create sizeable gaps inside the walls, allowing the stormtroopers to enter the city en masse, along with speederbikes, possibly AT-STs. We will wipe out the Osokan resistance, kill the Rebels supporting them, escort the Senatorial congregation out of the City, then let Nidar have his way with things. Boom, Boom, Boom.

....

Seeing as I lost my map that I doodled, what part of the city holds the shield generator again? I thought it was North. Also, where are gates located, or is there just one major gate at one point of the city?

Also, could a Warfare roll be made to judge the best way to set up the artillery units, once they are within the shield?

Lastly...in regards to the shapes of Lanzar City and the shield. Is the shield generated into a circle around the cross shape of the city? That would mean that there would be the gaps between sections...possibly AT-ATs could fit in there? Doubt it.

...

One more thing. I don't think it would hurt to ask the expert on hunting about the weaknesses of Lanzar Raptors. Would General Coll be able to give good old Guildmaster Drakkon a call?

Well, while Lyle and Rylis share what they found, Arvus will share his suspicions over Kyle and Eerin, especially with the take off during the freighter situation.

Never mind sharing it with yourselves, get action taken on it!

-

The generator is in the Northern section. And yes, there are gaps caused by the cross shape, but those are also the most dangerous places to sit in, being vulnerable to a heck of a lot of enemy fire.

Your biggest problem there is time. The army isn't even finished landing yet, and a two day march is a dangerous liability.

Btw- you are going to escort the Senate out AFTER the war starts?

...no, actually, that'd be a bad idea.

How long until the army finishes landing? We have four days left.

And like I said, would I be able to ask Drakkon himself about how to fend off the raptors? If we could manage to get those raptors to bugger off without obliterating the jungle, it would only take a day's march, rather than two, to reach Lanzar City.

Of course, we could tell Drakkon that we need to know because our soldiers are being eaten during the night.

The army will be finished about halfway through today. Even then, if it starts marching your legality evaporates very quickly.

You could talk to Drakkon about it, but you'd need to front it up socially and do it right.

They can't start marching without permission, of course.

I would be glad to make the attempt, if it means not having to march for two days.

Okidokey, well, that is certainly something for you to do tomorrow, thopugh try and think of an appropriate approach.

-

I need action on those weapons!

My life is on the line, peeps!

So, I think we should make an attempt at infiltrating the places where we found weapons. Karn and Lyle can make short work of infiltrating unless they roll poorly.

Infiltration will have to wait until morning and will take time. No, we want action, now, based on what you have.

Hmm...

Well, we have places where they are. Should the stormtroopers in the city make a short raid of them?

Anyways, the gaps where the most enemy fire is. Would that even matter to an AT-AT? The Osokans don't have heavy weaponry.

As for the Senate being escorted out, I'm sure the stormtroopers can do that while we're making our march, along with Esgabath.

AT-ATs are not magical. They are very hard to destroy as part of a combined arms assault, but just sit one out on its own next to the point of maximum danger and it will be under threat.

All someone has to do is get a load of explosives onto the neck joint, or something. And as your 'fellows' on the subtler side of things seem determined to let the Osokans/Rebels get these large arms shipments...

---

... and talking of which...

Yes, Arvus, I think the Imperials might appreciate it if you actually told them what you have found! There is a time to hold off so they don't blow it until you get more, but we are not at that time. We are at the "Vader has told you to get results or he kills you" time.

Your call.

AT-ATs are not magical? Why was I not notified?!

...

Anyways, positioning of the artillery, since I cannot perform my chat with Drakkon until day starts. Would I manage to make a Warfare roll on that?

Arvus will definitely inform Commander Travis or Vader if he's still within hearing reach of the stashes of weaponry they DID manage to pursue and mark down.

Yeah, that definitely sounds like a good idea. We can make an attempt in the morning to track down the remaining stashes.

Situating the artillery wouldn't be hard.

Ok, fine... now the military knows of the existence of the weapon stashes at certain locations. What's the plan?

Anything else being asked of the captive?

I'm waiting for Melkor, who once again has dissapeared.
