USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Rough guess- ten minutes.

And How long does it take to Launch TIE wings?

No more than a minute, sooner if they are on alert.

What my thought is, is that since the Ion Cannons are apparently too much for the Freighters, we instead Launch the TIEs while simultaneously demanding that the Freighters power down their Weapon and Propulsion systems immediately. If they Don't, the TIEs Converge on the Ships, targeting the Engines in an attempt to disable the Craft. During this Engagement, the Deviator Moves into their line of travel towards the Planet. If the Freighters appear to be making it through the TIEs attack, the Deviator Will first attempt to gain a hold on the enemy with a Tractor Beam. If this fails, The Deviator will open fire and destroy the incoming Vessels.

So right off the bat, Weapons Operators and TIE crews will be put on Alert.

Quite snappy indeed, Captain.

Still pondering how to present to Drakkon.

Perhaps I could join Coll in meeting with Drakkon?

Now that would be nifty. Though, you're supposed to meet with the Senators the same time I'm meeting with Drakkon, or around that time.

Any ideas on presenting things to Drakkon, Esgabath? What Coll wants to know is if the Lanzar raptors can be dissuaded from attacking us without hurling stormtroopers and blasterfire at them.

"Why are you waiting to leave, then?" Arvus asks. "I think it'd be safer to leave before its in full effect, wouldn't you? I'm getting out of here soon myself."

Well, the manuevres are legal, so he should give information that could save the lives of Imperial soldiers. And he is the great Hunter, you could try to discuss it with him like a kind of sport.

The hunting idea is good, though it is supposedly still illegal to actively hunt those things. I dunno the current Imperial laws on it, but from the PT game, hunting the raptors was illegal.

Our issue is that he most likely has figured out that we're going to invade. Rebs probably mentioned it if not hammered it in.

It's not that Ion cannons are too much for the freighters, it is that you don't have any! You have killing guns and tractor beams.

Launching the TIEs is not exactly necessary- if the planet is under blockade, the TIEs are on continuous patrol.

The legal situation on hunting the creatures in the jungle is fuzzy. It was made illegal along with the Hunting Guilds- with them re-established, it is taken as read that the hunt is back on (not that they ever stopped). Of course, now th Guilds ar eback out of favour... but then, allowances might have been made for Matadan... who the heck knows?

If both Commissar and General attend, it changes the tone of the meeting.

-

"Well," says one of them. "not all of us are done trading here yet. We cut and run, we lose out."

Is it a good change of tone?

I would say it would then become about Melkor trying to get the info rather than you, and it would have be to a damn good try!

Hmm. Would it have been easier if it was just the good old General trying to get it?

Well, in that case the plan is still the same. Just minus the launching of the TIEs.

If you take the right approach, Coll, then yes.

-

Okidokey, Trebeis, that plan is going into operation. The freighters should arrive in the afternoon.

Well, the TIEs are launching now! Patrols are starting. Things are getting underway!

I want Rylis to go back to the warehouses where the weapons were stored originally...

Crawling with Stormtroopers! Whatever locals were there have pulled out.

Yeah, I figured that...

Rylis will look around, trying to see if anything was left behind that could identify who took the weapons...and also she wants to know who owns the warehouses, because that'd probably give a good clue as to where they went.
