USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Started by Lord Melkor372 pages

"Were there any powerful opponents for Drakkon in the last elections? Did it went relatively in peace?"

"No, no significant opponents at all, but as he had just won a war it was hardly surprising. It is highly unlikely that Drakkon would lost an election in any circumstances, but the circumstances the election was held in are questionable from a democratic point of view, which is why we have been pushing for them to be held again."

"I assume he simply eradicated his main opponents then?"

"Feel free to assume whatever you like, Commissar," she says.

[B]"I didn't get where I am by mere posturing," says Drakkon. "I am Guildmaster of Lanzar. To be a legendary Hunter is part of my very nature. How did you get to where you are, a General of your Emperor?"

Drakkon's speech patterns are noticably sophisticated for an Osokan.

"I served my Emperor in the ranks, as I am sure you did with your previous Guildmasters," General Coll replies. "I proved myself worthy of promotion and praise, and received it in kind.

"We are not so different, would you agree?"

They are part of a wide transit system, Rylis- too hard to simply search all the way through.

You can't ask around because you don't know the language.

-

Doesn't look like they are willing to involve others in the convo, Melkor.

As for the Senate, the situation is as it is and there's nothing to change. Further blockade is exceptionally flimsy. It's even worse, because a hash has been made of it, as well become apparent soon.

Incidentally, your accusation that Drakkon is hiding the treuth from you would fail spectaculary. I wouldn't try that line.

I don't suppose the fleet has any Osokan speakers, does it?

"Wouldn`t you like to correct my assumptions? Weren`t atrocities committed during the war?"

OOC: I assume she won`t be helpful, and she won`t be bribed/intimidated. I could have appeared more symphatetic to her cause, but it seems it is too late, and it wouldn`t be credible.

Lyle, nope.

-

Melkor- yeah, this one is a loudmouthed idealist. She'll never go far. Say what you like about Andran, he knows how to play things right, rather than indulge in this kind of thing.

This sort of Senator is very dangerous if Rebels are about.

"Atrocities? None that I know of. Many deaths, of course, but then it was a war. And it is not as if there are really any civilians on Lanzar. he whole populace fought."

-

"I think perhaps we are," says Drakkon. "We don't have Generals here. There is a difference between Captaining a lodge and commanding an army. A Hunter who no longer catches prey is worthy of no respect, and he must do it with the same tools as everyone else. You are not dressed like your warrior I see to your side there, nor, I suspect, do you fight like him, or do the jobs he does."

As he has involved you, Janthis, feel free to join in.

I could pretend that I believe that Andran could suceed Emperor and I want to secure my place on his side....

"So what happended to the opponents of Drakkon?"

She's naive, but that would probably take a particular kind of stupid to believe that.

"Had the war continued it is likely they would have eventually been destroyed, but in the end, Andran got all sides to accept the peace arrangement."

"So who is now leading the "other side"?

"There isn't a leader, just other people who want to be in charge. That is why Drakkon won; he was the only one who was organised."

"You mean other Lodge Masters? And most of them agree with this treaty?"

"Judge for yourself; the violence has stopped. And there will be no barriers to entry in the proposed elections, as will be overseen by the Senate."

Janthis will look to Coll for permission to speak when he is given it Janthis speaks to Drakkon
"Guildmaster this man holds my highest respects and he has done everything I have to get where he is after all only the best are given the title of general for both their bravery and cunning."

"Thank you, Commander," Coll says. "Our societies are different, Guildmaster, as are our battles. But in terms of renown, skill, and knowledge, I'm sure we have our equivalence somewhere. Though, I am but a leader of men, not a planet."

"As for my equivalent of skill, we shall see. But still. What brings you here, General?"

"Well, Guildmaster, I am sure that you would protect your people in any way possible, correct? On a Hunt, you would rather not let your men die; for them to be found wanting is painful. It is the reason I am here, though with my own men."

"No, I am afraid you are mistaken. It is not my role to protect others on the Hunt. A Hunter is his own bodyguard."

"So you have confidence in the agreement, Drakkon`s grasp on the events and his willingness to keep the promises? Anything that worries you besides my mission? Did you make any interesting observation?"
