Okay. let`s translate then.

What exactly do you want to see?

Okay, I need something that could be used as evidence against Drakkon, concerning his alleged "war crimes".( Of course I am not telling an Osokan this, just thinking to myself).

I want information about how Drakkon won the war, the fate of Matadan and his followers.

Is this Osokan some kind of "intelectualist" among his people? Perhaps I could learn something directly from him...

Just noticed - if there are no droids on Lanzar, it might be a bad idea to be using one at all.

Perhaps you should follow me in person, though if the rebels spot you they'll know I'm up to no good.

That probe droid can stay pretty high and out the way.

Ok, the Librarian considers all that and says he can't help you.

"They didn't keep those sort of records during the war. Everyone was busy killing each other. In the last two decades there is only one period of good administrative record keeping and that was during Matadan's brief reign. It's started again now, of course."

Well, he seems at least more conversational than other Osokans.

Lyle, you have arrived at the older part of the city, where you are being escorted into a medium-sized building...

"So I would like to see last availble records of Matadan`s reign, please.

But it seems you are quite an educated person yourself. Perhaps you could educate me a bit? Until I met you I thought your people are nothing but warriors, very few even seem to know basic."

"If we were all warriors we would never have built neurowhips or spaceships..." he points out.

Matadan records are plentiful. "Tax records, mostly," he says.

Guess there's still not much I can do. Lyle goes with it, though stays alert for signs of danger.

None you can see.

You are being led downwards, lyle. it is very hot in here. Being a jungle world, Lanzar is pretty darn hot anyway and the Osokans are not into air conditioning, yet their buildings are normally built to keep things cool.

Not this one- if anything, it is heated.

"Isn`t there anything like Matadan`s intelligence reports? Concerning the rebellion forming against him?

Perhaps you could help me understand? What was the main reason that Matadan lost support of his people?"

I'm getting a bad feeling about this.

For the first, Melkor, the librarian shakes his head.

For the second, he simply points towards the part he just described to you.

Lyle- staying in or bailing out?

"So, could you translate the relevant needs? I am sure you are skilled and efficient at your work." - Commisar tries to appear respectful, appealing to the professional pride of the librarian.

"There's not really much of interest to translate..." he says.

"I see.... And you cannot aid me with your own knowledge? Achieving lasting peace on your world may depend on it."

Does he seem to be sincere?

Staying in, naturally.

Just hoping not to die.

Hard to read these Osokans, Melkor. And he's not really sure exactly what you want to know, anyway.

Then you are led further downstairs, Lyle, where it continues to grow hotter. Soon, you are down by a large white metal door.
